Nah, just link them. Select both (edit one, hold shift, click the other) and hit CTRL-L. It's CTRL-SHIFT-L to unlink an object.

where can i go for free textures only ones i have are the advertisey ones i get with purchased items ...

You've got a lot of textures already in your library and if you do a search for free textures you will find plenty of places to go. 

And I will second what Kelli said....a visit to the Ivory Tower is well worth your time.
