  1. copybots are also pretty crap at copying mesh that aren't a basic shape. So the paranoia is pretty unfounded. Its quite possible someone didn't copy their stuff. They just used the same template as you or the same cgtrader. Or maybe your idea wasn't all that original to begin with.
  2. Just because a hud allows me to change color textures or color tints does not make the item mod.
  3. Yes for some products its makes sense but for detailed textures such as what's used on clothes not so much.

  5. You can tell by the quality of the color change. The color change applies the same shade to the whole texture and is limited to SL capabilities. Which is generally figured out during demoing. A texture color changed in software such as photoshop or gimp or using materials in blender or maya is noticeably higher quality. However I am a bit of snob when it comes to stuff like that. Maybe there's people who wouldn't notice the difference or be as opinionated about it.
  6. lol well if they make their fatpack a reasonable price that wouldn't be an issue. But that's a whole other topic that I don't want to have a brain aneurysm over right now...
  7. Most huds color change is in the texture and not the color box. Since the color box only adds the color to the texture.
  8. Ya I wonder if Nike gets upset when people tuck in their laces....
  9. Yes I am getting to the point where I am not buying certain products because they are no mod. Especially things that are typically or could be worn under other things.
  10. Ya I don't mean mod as in to adjust position. You can adjust position regardless of whether or not it is mod or not. Rigged mesh just snaps back to where it was. I meant for the purpose of actually modifying the mesh such as to hide a face so that to fit it with another outfit. I notice some vendors like Asteroidbox consistently do allow mod on their products which is great since I can take a shirt from one of their outfits and wear it under a jacket and hide the faces that poke through. Or when it comes to hair I can change the alpha blending option so that I doesn't interact with other alpha textures I may have on such as glasses or say a fishnet shirt.
  11. This is about the mesh alone and not the scripts or animations within the mesh. My understanding is the mod/no mod check box does literally nothing for mesh since, unlike with prims, the information someone could get from under the "Objects" tab would not assist anyone in recreating or duplicating it. Someone would need a copybot to rip a mesh. Something no mod does not protect against. So I am just curious why it is still used. Seems like an outdated practice.
  12. Ya sorry I misread your statement so mine doesn't make any sense.... mb. You had previously mentioned cutting off certain states so I thought you meant east coast....
  13. Florida was unfortunate. Their latin american community bought the notion sold by republicans that democrats are socialists. It's whatever. I still think it's trending left. Just not today.
  14. So lets just say the EC does become a its own country and separates itself from the south and west. Who's going to buy your products or produce? We would no longer have an incentive to buy from you since you would like get undercut by other nations looking for our business. Being the most populous.
  15. That would make sense for California. CA is the only state that has a net loss for being part of the US. The rest of the country needs eachother to survive.
  16. Odd point. I don't remember any of those rights going to a national vote. And considering a majority of the country is moderate to left I doubt they wouldn't have passed.
  17. We also have a much more denser population (by far) than we had in 1888. We also had a king in 1688. I guess we should go back to that instead.
  18. Yes the Senate is a whole other issue. With states like Montana with population of 1million have the same amount of representatives in DC as Massachusetts with a population of nearly 7 million.
  19. Yes but I have doubts that you read your "references" since they make the point I made while you seemed to be making some argument against my statement? You should go back to see what exactly I quoted and was responding to. You stated that left/liberals all of the sudden like the electoral. I was disagreeing with that statement.
  20. I don't need papers or references since I actually live in it. I live in Boston. One of the more left cities and areas in the country. Trust me no left/liberal likes the electoral. They didn't during Gore/Bush. They didnt during Obama/McCain, Obama/Romney or Trump/Clinton. And they don't now. PS> I don't google terms for the benefit of my argument since you can find anything that agrees with you and cherry pick the information you want while disregarding the information that doesn't work in your favor. Besides I am not sure what you are arguing against me with those links. Seems like you proved my point with them since they go completely against your statement (which i quoted and replied to) "Notice that while liberals/leftists were fretting about the electoral college and the "need" to change it throughout Trump's term, but now that Biden is at 264 and Trump and 214, you hear nary a complain about the electoral college LOL."
  21. This is completely inaccurate. People still feel the same about the electoral as they did before. The fact this is going down to the wire even with a 4million popular vote lead is enough reason to have an issue with it.
  22. All those states you listed other than maybe (big maybe) Texas are already set in stone well before the election. So yes it makes perfect sense to spend more time and money campaigning in a state that could flip either way.
  23. When you buy half of the sunset side of a region, don't wall it off so not to cuck the corner plots view. Leave it as a beach and build your home as a skybox just to have a recently new neighbor put this 10L prim wall up 2008 style. 2008 called. They want their prim wall back.
