I just had land deeded to my group and sold it for L$600 but did not receive my Lindens for it after someone bought it. Is there a catch??? grrrrrrrrrrr

I live on Wellington Road on the mainland continent of Jeogeot in a treehouse. I have great neighbours in a small area surrounded by abandoned land long the roadway. I cannot stand living on private sims because living on the Mainland feels like the whole grid is my backyard.

Thanks for all the advice. Having adult furniture is not a major thing for me so to be on the safe side I will just remove the 2 adult things and stay on the land as I love it there with great neighbours all working together along a roadside. (A rare thing I know ) If I do need to use adult stuff I will go up in my skybox and rez stuff temporary and then remove it when done.I am going to risk the cherub lol.

Bet it is underground or in the sky or inside a wall like I had lol. Tried to retrieve it and deleted my wall.

I am in Canada but had the same issues as Tari Landar for about a year of internet going off and them not checking it right and then someone who looked thoroughly found the problem and fixed it however there was a few times my SL crashed and then my internet went out and I had to reset the modem. Both might be correct.

Thank you. To be on the safe side I switched adult furniture with PG stuff and left the cherub up lol. If I need any adult stuff I can just rez when needed and take in behind the veil of land controls lol.

I live on a mainland sim marked as General so I cannot change it. I know it says I should not have any adult furniture like beds or couches or even a hot tub but is this ever enforced and what happens if caught? My land is set to private and avatars are invisible. I have a cherub water fountain peeing into a pond, is this too forbidden on General Land lol. Is there any way to change the mainland setting to moderate?

I am useless at computer jargon so bare with my simplicity lol. I have my land set to my group but beforehand had rezzed all my stuff under my name. When I turn autoreturn on it will return all my stuff. I learned this from a horrible experience where everything on my sim was returned in bulk ugh. How do I set everything on my sim all at once in bulk to my group. I understand not to deed but cannot figure this out. I have too many things to set to group individually. I am using the latest Firestorm viewer. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I bought a parcel on the mainland as an individual and after I bought it I deeded it to my group etc. Will the group owned land bonus kick in automatically or did I need to first buy the land for the group at the beginning? Is there anyway to fix this if possible to gain the discount? This is confusing lol. Thank you.

I have been having the same issues too after using everything the same for years. Certain sims are screwed up in the Blake Sea area. It will suddenly clear up eventually. Always does. Don't blame yourself.

Is it possible to obtain the name of an account that had been abandoned? For example: A user has the name Ziggy Stardust but has quit Second Life years ago. Is it possible to get this name or buy the name?

What I did was search marketplace for a furry avatar that looked the closest to what I liked and wanted and then modified it with different hairs, eyes, tails and cloths etc to make it all more unique and individual.

Wow today was an all time worse. Seems we are being taken back to the day of SL 2004. I had an exploring group inworld which i recently closed because this crap has been going on for so long now that I know it will never be fixed. They just keep adding layer upon layer of unsolved bugs, hiding Jira's and ignoring the residents. Imagine new people experiencing all this in their first 15 minutes. 0 growth - SL suicide.

It is because of the damn useless pathfinding that we are being robbed of our vehicle pleasures! The day pathfinding came out and since it has been a major disaster trying to sail, fly motorbike or even walk sometimes. Mesh was no big help either. The Lindens keep indroducing silly toys and bells and whistles that only a handfull of people use or want and ruining it for the majority of the users who are content to just enjoy themselves.

I found that too many features on Firestorm slow it down and when I switched to V3 I have speed and almost no isuues. I think the more bells and whistles a viewer has the slower it gets.

I used to love Firestorm and it gave me great performance. When it became mesh enabled I found it was so slow for me it was unusable. I got a brand, new powerful computer and Firestorm was still slow for me with only 8 fps. I switched to the official Linden Viewer 3 and instantly got fps of 70 or more and with high graphic settings I now rarely experience lag. There seems to be too many lag inducing bells and whistles with Firestorm now and you may find by switching to V3 that you get better performance. I tested most of the 3rd party viewers and found that the more features and toys they had the slower they were. Try and see....
