  1. As a guy who's learning spanish and polish, let me tell you right now that RS is a waste of money. You're better off spending money on a college class to learn Korean.
  2. I'm a little ignorant on the subject, so forgive me if I sound stupid. Why should Nvidia waste it time on an Operating System that most users around the world barely even use? If people want ot keep use linux, then that's fine I guess, but most of us Nvidia fans don't even use Linux; so I don't even know how it's going to hurt most of us Nvidia fans at all.
  3. which is about 6'0. But for some reason, he looks short. Not in comparison to other avatars, but he just looks short in general. Something just seems off. Perhaps it's my monitor?
  4. Honestly, you can get a decent AO for cheap. Go to oracul store, get the hud for free, and look around for indiviual walking, running, ground sit, and standing animation that only cost 10 lindens each. Everything you need for only less than 50 lindens.

Just curious how this is creating an issue for you, unless your sim is jam-packed full of avatars already, or the campers have a ton of scripts and it's lagging your sim. Have you tried IM'ing them to find out why they like to hang out on your land...er...sky? Most of the builds and items are in the sky 1000 meters or above. There isn't anything on the ground really except grass. Kind of annoying when I'm fooling around with building and there is someone floating not too far from where I am. I know things like banlines can be a pain for problem who travel though mainlands sims, which is the reason why my land is near the corner of the of the map, were no one needs to fly though since there is no land to the east or north. Anyway, I could try these security orbs out. How far can they detect someone?
  6. Banlines don't go up that high. I'm really sick of poeple just camping and afking 2000 meters above my private full sim.

  8. I got kicked and banned from a sim for no reason. Didn't really do anything wrong; I guess I got kicked for being a furry avatar. So I got on an alt and try to I asked the sim owner why, but apparently he had redzone, so I got banned again the minute I came back. :smileyvery-happy: So I strugged and move. I'm not going to get upset about it, since there are many other sims in second life. In other words, don't get too upset about these things. Some sim owners can be jerks, but there a lot of other decent sims out there.
  9. I never ask people for friendship. I'm not really that talkative, so I'll be wasting space on there friends. Now if I really like someone, I ask for a calling card or just save their name on notepad so I can search for name in search. And if a person ask to be on my friendslist, I usually accept.
  10. I tried going to the mainland plenty of times, but I kept lagging for some reason. Just moving around feels so sloppy and unrepsonsive sometimes. Lowering my draw distance doesn't fix the problem at all. Doesn't really seem worth it in my opinion.
  11. I had a buddy whom I met in SL months ago, and he stopped logging in sometime ago. I don't expect people to stay in SL forever, but he left no notice or anything, and he doesn't even answer his emails anymore. Obviously, this isn't like him, because he usually tells me if he's going to be offline for a while. I have no RL info on him other than his home city. I just get the feeling something bad happened to him in RL. This sucks, because we were like BEST friends, and I'm pretty sure I'm never going to see him again. sigh Has this scenario happened to anyone else here?

I thought it was patently ridiculous yesteday when a word that is commonly used in a student biology textbook was considered a violation of the guidelines. There are creators of adult content in SL, landowners and renters on adult sims and Zindra, and other adult establishments. If we cannot use the Entertainment subforum to post things adult in nature, where then? If people want to advertise their smut or talk about 'parts', they can use another SL forum like SLUniverse. It's pretty obvious LL doesn't care about the adult part of SL, and I'm glad they're keeping this forum based around PG rating.
