I just glanced at the LP out of curiosity as I am NOT looking for another Linden Home atm.. and it had ALL of the homes available except for the Stilt on Pier. It seems there is a really good selection for people now.
I remember the early days when it was always a matter that all styles were Sold Out most of the time. Availability has come a long way.

@Love ZhaoyingExcellent point that many of the land owners may not read the forums.
The in-world search is a great idea, and if that doesn't yield much, maybe I could make a notecard, wander around the many regions and drop it off to the property owners... that would be a great project to do a bit here/there over the next month or so.

This thread was never intended to be about GTFO ... neither criticizing it or singing it's virtues. It is meant to be about the Sea of Fables area... and I am still waiting to hear if there is any existing group (or association/blog/etc) for folks who have property here who open it for the public to enjoy.
I am guessing nothing exists... so my question is.. those of you who do own land here that is open to the public... anyone interested in joining together to see if we can make our places more generally known as well as sharing ideas and building a sense of community?

Nope, I don't, but if she decided to leave second life she can also decide to delete her marketplace. There are so many creators that did that.
And still it feels odd her not announcing the sim was closing, I've talked to her once or twice and she was really a nice person. Anyway wishing her all the best in both worlds.
On a side note, to me, she will be, more than LISP creator, the creator of some of the best machinimas in SL (as Lainy Voom) like this one (windlight was brand new and this still is breathtaking)
It is possible that she did did not decide to leave SL but had something RL outside of her control, like getting sick or something... if that is the case, maybe we will see her again later on.

why should we assume the marketplace is going away? Does someone have inside knowledge on this?

Oh that is sad news about bazaar ... I have some of her products and every few months or so I go shop there again. Shopping at the marketplace isnt the same because you need to look at things in person like LOD and LI and sometimes you want to see the poses before buying as well.

Dreamland Designs had a really cute entry set... well two separate 75L sale items that they go together great to make an entry. It is a bit higher LI, but it is cute. The chair is an outrageous 7 LI and I might not have used it if it did not fit in perfectly with my decor, but the poses in it are very cute. And the table/wall hanging link together for 7 LI if you dont use the "DREAM" wooden text.

The RFL folks are holding a decorating context at their new "Mega Event", the SL Living Expo, March 3rd - 12th. Space is limited, so sign up now if you're interested! Each contestant gets a 12x12 "room" to decorate, using 500LI. You can retexture walls etc. as you like, and it can be any sort of room, but they DON'T say whether or not it can be a garden. Personally, I would find doing a garden "room" very tempting - except that it takes me forever to decorate anything.

Yah, yah, I know, this has nothing to do with Linden Homes. Except ... that creative decorators are the most active folks on this forum!
The contest rules talk about designers. I think they are looking for mesh furniture creators and not people like me who just buy nice furniture and place ti together in a pleasing manner.
Are you sure this is open to people who do not actually make the furniture and decorations themselves?

It is sold, so no longer available.

I moved to Sea of Fables about 6 weeks ago and spent the next 4 weeks setting up my property. Then I began exploring and I noticed that there are a LOT of really nice properties along Sea of Fables, many of which welcome visitors/guests.
Is there already some type of Community among the Sea Of Fables property owners who open their land to guests? If so, how so I connect with this community?
If not, would other Sea of Fables property owners want to form some type of group or community where we can see about promoting what we offer to visitors and also fellowship with each other? I am not sure what this would look like at this point and am open to suggestions.

I bought this stunning parcel for $L 36447, but soon discovered I wanted a larger parcel, so I have to give this one up. I am listing it for my Lowest Acceptable Price to avoid haggling.. which is $L 24,000 -- and is substantially less than I paid for it.
It is in a beautiful and historic area along Sutherland Dam Road with protected water access and amazing views of the sunrise and of the bay. There is protected land along the road on one side, and there is protected water boarding the length of parcel. It is near the Dam. The neighbors are pretty well behaved.. no clutter hovering in the sky, etc.
It is hilly down to the water, and the parcel includes some water. I have it beautifully landscaped as three tiers -- you dont have to keep my landscaping of course, but you can if you like it. The bottom tier is a rocky shore along the water, with a small pier for sail boats. The center tier is a beautiful wooded area, complete with a small lake and waterfall. The top tier is a house with picture windows, nestled among a forest of pine trees.

That price is definately out of my budget. But I don't see how it is any of my business how much someone choose to spend for a parcel of Mainland.
It could be that they really like the place. Or maybe someone they loved who died in RL who used to live there, and they want to own it for sentimental reasons. Or maybe they just have money to burn... whatever it is ... it is their business and I dont think it is right to try to shame them for choosing to buy it at that price.

1024 sqM, 351 LI. Objects on parcel transfer ownership to buyer (except for the Forsale sign). Be sure to take a copy of objects into inventory if you buy it.

And I discovered that letting LHs go is a lot easier if you don't hop at all.
so true! cuz you have the misfortune to hop onto a really amazing "keeper" and then it becomes very difficult to downgrade the alt cuz you want to hang on to the new place it landed.

16x32 sqM lot, 175 LI allowance, in quiet surroundings. Only 900L. Perfect for a starter home for Plus members. Location is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ochreous/169/232/131
The lot has some nice objects that transfer ownership to you when you buy it - a one-room mesh cottage, a tree, a brick fence, and some basic landscaping (flowers & bushes).
If you buy this lot, the objects rezzed on it become yours. (Be sure to take a copy into inventory). You can use them or you can remove them and use your own house and landscaping... up to you!

one thought just occurred to me.
If you have a lot of people TPing into your home, it might be that it was listed in Parade of Homes by a previous owner and the listing never removed. You might want to look at the listings for your style of home and verify that your house is not listed there by a previous owner. If it is, you can request it be removed.
Here is the link to the parade of homes listing: PoH-OH Parade of Homes / Open Homes Listing - Webpage and HUD (robertrhodan.de)

Overcoming addiction -- is it possible??
Owning nice Bellisseria Homes can become an addiction for me. At one point I had 11 houses... all of them in nice-ish locations. That is way too much for one person. I end up hardly visiting most of them on any given day. But when I go to one to think about tossing it... I see how nice it is and think to myself "I cant toss this."
I have been trying to cut back for months now... and had finally gotten down to five ... still too many, but hard to give up. Then they released the new style houseboats and I landed a lovely location on my first roll. That brought me back up to six.
I plan to toss two of them as the alts expire in a couple of months. That will bring me down to four... which is still more than I need. (I also have a mainland parcel that I love and I spend most of my time there when I am not out/about other parts of Second LIfe.)
So what is the secret to getting oneself down to a small number... say two??

16x32 sqM lot, 175 LI allowance, in quiet surroundings. Only 900L. Perfect for a starter home for Plus members. (There are two side-by-side lots). The left one boarders a parcel with ban lines enabled, and is on sale for 900L. Location is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ochreous/169/232/131

There is a neighbor lot for 900L as well... but it is next to a property with ban lines.

The Bellisseria (e.g., Premium) homes are in beautifully landscaped areas and have some equivalent of homeowner association rules (called the covenant) to keep the area nice. And you can change homes easily.
But my one concern for you is the zooby twins. I believe they each take a lot of LI to rez, and the total LI allowance for a linden home is 351 (if a 1024 sqM house) or 175 (if a 512 sqM house). If you want to have both twins rezzed at the same time and also have furniture in the house, you may need to rent or buy a larger place.
