Stuff from renderosity and Daz has slowly filtered into SL for years. Nowhere near as bad as the race to steal video game characters that is going now.
If people want something done they can alert the IP owners and if the IP owners fail to act then you can create a name&shame blog and post lots of pics and name the IP owners and rippers and use google magic to put it right in front of the IP owners faces as they google themselves daily. Once they get that surprise they will be asking their respective legal departments as to why they do nothing except play golf at the country club all day. The problem is this tactic further stains SL.

Don't buy or accept from people who have no established business presence. Yes suxors for people getting started but SL is pirate bay. Buy at your own risk.
Life in the big city. get the f over it. delete IP Replacements. Don't worry about them.
And dance animations are the most likely to be replaced. Go shop at Akeyo or Henmations. Pay the up front price. Or have none.

Try club Ambrosia. Usually 24*7 there.
Club Industry is always good.
You have to find something you like.

5 years and 85k inventory items and not one is named ip replacement. I recommend you work a little harder on where you shop.

I don't have many issues with friends logging in/out. Not many friends
But it will recurse if inventory is still caching.

just open your inventory and take a coffee break. After a while it stops being stupid.

Maybe they were just doing some cleanup and restared the services resulting in a short outage. Seems to be there for me.

Money laundering? Was there ever a documented case of money laundering? Was there ever an arrest and prosecution? Or was it a load of BS used to force LL to submit to the feds demands for control?
No matter what LL or anyone does there is no way to prevent "copybotting". It is impossible. However, with mesh, the so-called "copybotters" would have to have some skills and then pay to upload the rips. But why rip amateur stuff from SL when there is all that pro made stuff in games and on 3D markets? No shortage of that in SL now.
Also there is a recent court precedent that ruled TOS violations are not criminal acts. So LL can't do a thing about banned players coming back over and over unless LL moves to a different and fail loaded method for physical human identity verification at login.

Yes. Even if LL could prevent TPVs from connecting the old original copybot would return and LL could never detect it.
There is no solution beyond simply never creating anything.

SLM is dead every weekend when it is supposed to be at it's busiest.
More and more merchants will go out of business and stop paying tier. In the end the LL Commerce Team will be why SL closes.
But the LL board protects the commerce team. It appears they are charged with killing SL off. Slowly.
And they are doing a good job of hurting everyone in SL. And they do not care. It is obvious.

If you really want to use a static background then all you need is a prim and some background textures. And some poses you can run by themselves from inventory.
My recommendation is to find locations in SL that are relevant to the fashion you are wearing and take the pics there.

I do not know how the list is populated. I do know that in world on the destination guide the what's hot selector seldom, if ever, functions. And when it does the number of avatars is usually totally wrong. I do think this what's hot concept is a good idea. However it must be a challenging programming scenario.

So now the incidence of stationary bots in regions collecting avi key data for tracking will become even more widespread. But the function is more efficient so less lag which makes it A-OK right?

I haven't touched anything and remain blissfully unaffected by the issues so many have experienced. As soon as I posted that post above there was activity on my account again rofl.
Gonna have to bite the bullet and start processing my store into DD folders. Lots to clean up. Check every product for invisiprims etc. Had to do it sometime or another

File the AR. And should you ever see one of his customers walking around with the alt tracking hud that defames people in chat then get a group to mass AR that person.

Get Verizon FIOS (at least 35/35) and use a wired LAN connection. Have the Verizon tech disable wireless on the router. Make sure you run the FIOS optimizer.
Any further issues will be related to your computer which, btw, how much you pay has no bearing on it's mobo architecture and video capability.
