you could instead rent a piece of mainland from someone (which is sometimes a good option for starters) ... *meows* PS. or lease a piece of land on a private island (doesn't have to be mainland of course!) which is easier and gives you more control, as you can buy the land and then can return it easily after the lease .... back to the owner.
