Make sure your viewer and the region you are uploading in match up.  We are in the middle of testing a new asset format for models, and the viewer and server need to match up for it to work.  See the first post for where to get the right viewer for the 4 test regions for the new format.

If your viewer is older than version 2.7.3 (ie using old format), the name of the object as it appears in inventory will not be what you type in the upload box necessarily.  That has been fixed I think for the latest versions.  Watch the lower right corner of your screen while the upload is in progress.  There are some small numbers which will flip from 0 to 1 and back to 0, giving progress of the upload.  If those are not changing, the upload is not happening.

Thanks --  I used the viewer link that you gave me in the SLU thread and went to Sandbox 20 (saw some Lindens there rezzing stuff). So it must be some problem with my mesh.

Changed sims, same result -- no mesh item in inventory.  Here is my info:

  2. I am one who would be interested in buying full perm mesh, and while I do want my name on the item sold (otherwise the mesh maker will get all the customer support calls) my primary interest is being able to take something into Blender and tweak it a bit. Otherwise I have something that 1) is not exactly what I want and 2) is exactly like what other ppl are selling.

  3. Oh this is bad Sonya.  And it could possibly explain why I had a few days there where MP sales were significantly down for no apparent reason?  I have pretty consistently good sales on MP, then next to nothing. Back to normal now.

I hope they do follow up -- and if so, will you post about it here?

  4. What I have asked is for support to look in the customer's inventory when this happens and let her or me know if support can see the items. This would give me a clue whether it is an inventory problem or something else. Because sometimes it happens a lot and it drives me crazy trying to figure out what the problem is.  They refuse to do this although I don't see what is top secret about letting me or the customer know whether something go delivered or not.

A couple of times a clear cache and relog has fixed the problem but usually not.

  5. It's not bad, but in SL I think most people would probably rather have the original IF the original is better.  If you can come up with a better version, tho, then go for it. That's just capitalism. :-)

Successful ppl in SL are usually those who put their energies into coming up with (more or less) original, exceptional quality content, not those who copy what other successful ppl have done, only not as well.

  6. I just wanted a "sort by price, high to low" default.

Would be good to have offered a drop down, or a choice of manual or drop down.

Actually I have few enough items that it was not that time consuming to group them and number them -- except that if I did more than 15 or so at a time it would not save all the numbers.

  7. Okay so I went in and put "prefab" in search, numbered 21 prefabs, then when I hit update it said something like it was sorry, and do you want to continue shopping.

Then about half of the numbered items were updated, but the other half still were not numbered.

  8. I appreciate the effort. And if I had a couple dozen items this would be fine.

But now the default "relevance" search for my items shows some old clothing items I made years go plus some Christmas things at the top. These are not best sellers or whatever relevance is. I can't resort by price, which is how I want my default search -- when I do that and go back to put the items in number order, they revert to old clothing and Christmas items. I am going to have to search for each item, and put in a number.

  9. Thanks very much for keeping everyone so well informed Brooke!

I hope everyone will take note of what you say about satisfaction levels that will need to be met. That means we will experience having some half-baked thing thrust upon us as we did when Xstreet was prematurely disabled and the MP thurst upon us still in beta state (or alpha).
