the thing is, you can't delete the bridge folder of a viewer you are logged into. If you want to delete the bridge, you should log in from another viewer (not Firestorm), Official SL viewer is a good choice.

It's simple as this; If you're sure they're sex objects, report them; if you're not, don't. :matte-motes-smug:

Any time this chat command only works in Firestorm viewer only, don't think if other viewers do the same thing.

I think there's a keyboard shortcut that hides every prim from the screen. If you can't find it. Try typing "dd 0" in the chat bar, this will set the draw distance to zero and hide every thing from the screen, I think this will prevent the high download weight. When you finish, just set it back to your preferred draw distance by "dd value". This will solve the crashing problem if the purpose is the high number of prims on the screen. replay if the method didn't work so I can think of something else.

I believe invisable prims don't work anymore. Alpha layers is the solution for this problem. :matte-motes-little-laugh:

In addition to all of the suggestions, I think checking out Live Events is also a great way for finding new friends. Most of the time, if you make it in time, you'll find a lot of people to chat with and explore cultures and dig into your interests. Some times you should be the Big Mama and introduce friends to each other. This will certainly increase the chances of having a cool group of friends to have fun with. If you find a cool place, just open the friends list and find someone to join you. :matte-motes-smile:

Like Dresden Ceriano Said before, Objects and avatar shapes have never been fit to scale. I'm a landscape designer and builder in SL and I face some scale issues all the time. For example, The way things are sized in SL are varying in such a way that when you enter two lands of the same area, you get the feel that one of them is larger than the other. Some lands feel croud and area consuming even if they have only a house with a backyard, while other lands of the same area have a lot of things with much more empty space. I think this is related to the feeling that an avatar is small or large. This kind of problem has been under discussion for a long time and didn't yield any agreement, as far as I know. It really depends on comparing your avatar to the surroundings and making sure you fit right in the place where you stay most of the time, not comparing your self with other avatars. :matte-motes-wink:

وعليكم السلام، أخي بالنسبة للمسبح، يجب أن يكون على خاصية فانتوم (أي: وهمي) بحيث يمكن للأفتار اختراقه والمشي من خلاله، وإليك الطريقة 1- كلك يمين على أوبجكت الماء فقط 2- Edit اختر 3- Object من نافذة التعديل، اختر علامة التبويب أوبجكت 4- Phantom ضع علامة صح على كلمة فانتوم ملاحظة هامة: تأكد أنك حددت فقط أوبجكت الماء (إذا حددت المسبح كامل سوف يؤدي ذلك إلى تطبيق خاصية فانتوم عليه كاملاً) ـ

في الغالب ان اللي صار للاند مو كراش. يمكنه ريستارت للصيانة من السكندلايف نفسهم السكند لايف يسوون دوريات صيانة لسيرفرات السكند بين كل فترة وفترة، ويحذرون الناس انهم ينزلون اوبجكتات أو يشترون ويبيعون في فترات الصيانة إعلانات الصيانة دايم يحطونها في واجهة الفيور أو في الموقع هذا http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ هالمرة ممكن راحت الأوبجكتات للأسف الشديد، لكن من اليوم ورايح كل يوم قبل تسجيل الدخول من الفيور نفسه بتحصل Grid Statuse فيه أخبار عن دوريات الصيانة وحالاتها (خلصت ولا لا) ، تأكد منها عشان تعرف ان وضع السكند تمام أو لا الله يعوضك خير في الأغراض اللي ضاعت :smileysad:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته لدي اقتراح وأود أن أوصله للمسؤولين عن تطوير منتديات السكند لايف -إن أمكن-. بحثت عن منتدى خاص للشكاوي والاقتراحات ولكن لم أجد. اقتراحي بسيط وإن تم توصيله للمطورين سيأتي إن شاء الله بالفائدة للمنتدى العربي الفكرة هي أن يتم دعم صندوق إدخال النصوص في المنتدى بميزة المحاذاة، بحيث يستطيع الكاتب أن يحدد محاذاة الكلام (يمين، أو وسط، أو يسار)، لأن ما ألاحظه أن الكلام المكتوب في المنتدى يتم محاذاته تلقائياً إلى اليسار، وهذا متعب للقراء العرب حيث أن محاذاة الكتابة في اللغة العربية من المفترض أن تكون إلى اليمين. ويوجد دراسات علمية تثبت أن محاذاة الكتابة على النحو المطلوب لها دور كبير في راحة عين القارئ وسرعة القراءة والاستيعاب. حاولت مسبقاً أن تكون محاذاة الكلام إلى اليمين، وذلك بتحديد الكلام ومن ثم الضغط على كنترول+شفت الواقعة في الجهة اليمنى من لوحة المفاتيح، ولكن هذه المحاولة أدت إلى ظهور خطأ برمجي في النص المدخل كما هو موضح في الصورة التالية الذي فهمته من هذا الخطأ أن صندوق إدخال النص غير معد لمحاذاة النص إلى اليمين لأن معرف (إتش تي إم إل) الخاص بالمحاذاة لم يتم توفيره، ويتم اعتباره كمعرف غير مسموح به ويجب إزالته. لدي الاستعداد لمخاطبة فريق تطوير وصيانة المنتديات بشكل رسمي لتقديم هذا الاقتراح ولكن بعد بحث طويل لم يتسنى لي العثور عليهم.

I think it really depends on the draw distance. As long as the skybox is out of your draw distance, its shadow will not render. Because the default maximum DD value is 1024 m, I suggest to place the skybox above that distance. Regards :matte-motes-smitten:

In my own opinion, you can simply make SL your home and live the opportunity of exploring and learning new things about people and cultures. There are many places in SL where you can make it just like home only by making connections and friends, e.g., a new public hangout land willing to gather friends and form a good happy history full of memories. By the time, you'll find yourself being a main part of the land after having strong connections and relationships with the owners and moderators and it will feel just like home. Believe me. There are a lot of public land owners who just want good people to stay in their place and have fun and it will be just the right place for you and your child to call home in SL. As a parent in SL, all you need is good relationships and friendships to work it all out. :matte-motes-smitten:

In addition to what Rolig said, I usually edit the permissions of any object from the inventory, to avoid lagg issues. From the inventory, Right-click the item you want to edit its perms. Choose properties. From the pop-up window, you can see the next owner permissions. Checking those will makes them TRUE and unchecking makes them FALSE. Hope it helps. :matte-motes-smitten:

This topic really gave me hope that I might find what I'm looking for. :matte-motes-big-grin: My question regarding acceleration is related to angular acceleration. I'm trying to create a script which enables a rod to rotate with constant angular acceleration (alpha) until it reaches some known angular velocity (omega) for a random period of time, and then starts decelerating to full stop. Is the Idea of linear acceleration related somehow with angular acceleration in LSL? Can I, for example, apply a torque in order to use Newton's Law in rotary motion, as mentioned in previously?
