  2. @Pussycat, this is a bit off on a tangent but i had to write to say how sorry I was to hear of your racist experiences in SL... Please don't take this the wrong way, but I don't know if you have a regular hangout but we have some Africans (from SA and mid Africa) and also black people from other continents at the commune utopia I run. Actually we pride ourselves on the diversity of the people that have made the sim their home and we like to collect countries - we have a theme party coming up where we are going to dress in national costume or themed colours of flags! I'd also like to recommend another place for welcoming Africans and that is Sunvibes which is an African music place run by my good friend Szavanna. I want to stress that not all of SL is as narrowminded and bigoted as you unfortunately have seemed to have found it and you are very welcome to come visit us for good times.
  3. Be what you want to be at Commune Utopia. A happy community of hippies, creating the idyllic 60's boho life of music, conversation, love, art, expression of soul. And we'd like to invite you to visit us! We're celebrating two years of happy commune life in September! We can be found at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/74/78/34 We are a hippie commune of over 1000 lovely people on an Adult sim. We have a thriving community, which holds regular parties, live music events, discussions, book clubs, art shows and writing classes. We believe in freedom of expression - freedom in talk, freedom in creativity. You will not find better friends anywhere in sl - freethinking, intelligent and fun people who are extremely loyal to the Commune and the beautiful way of life here. We're not like other places - everyone here has the chance to create their own events, send their own notices, rezz their things and use the Commune the way they want. In return, we have a wonderful variety of events as people share their talents - be it in art, music, literature, dressing up ideas, silly games... As well as all the impromptu stuff, we have: Live music every Wednesday Mystery Day Trips every Thursday Fancy Dress Parties every Friday *new* market stalls to rent and huts to rent - see Seductive Dreamscape for details. What do people say about the Commune? It's one of the rare places in SL where you feel welcomed right away and there are nearly every time people around to have wonderful discussions or great parties with. So the decision to join was pretty easy. I liked the tendency of communers to SPEAK with each other. It immediately felt very different than other naughty-friendly places -- less meat market and more meet market. its laid back, chatty and the people are different (different in a good way) I came to find an inclusive warm community It was a place where one could always find a friendly person to enjoy being with. And a place to make new friends. It's nice that there are a lot of like minded people to share conversation and laughs with warmth, friendliness, feeling of acceptance I like that the commune is a place people can be comfortable to be who they are, and that there weren't a lot of repressive rules People who likes to socialize and share a unique life experience of being in second life Relaxed place with no stress or drama. So come visit us and maybe join our family... we would love to have you with us :) Sedi x Commune Utopia http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/74/78/34

  5. Thanks, Rufus, for bringing this very old message from years ago to the forefront of the forum - I'm sure everyone is really appreciating that! *grins* I had to reply as I wouldn't want people to think we were inactive...! The Commune now is on Orga sim and has over 1300 hippie members - and we don't live in a mansion anymore, we live around a beautiful lake and dance naked on the beach, as well as having a very active and varied events calendar, ranging from photography competitions to day trips to wonderful live music every Wednesday. If this sounds like something you'd like to be involved in (everyone welcome, even people with chips on shoulders who hardly ever post in the Forums!) please come visit... we're in Search under "Commune Utopia". lots of love, Sedi x
  6. Yes! Commune Utopia has Love Ins every Monday with organised orgies in our party pit for up to 7 avatars. Playing or watching is encouraged. Voice is permitted. Also we have a relaxed way of life in our community with people enjoying each other all over our beautiful woodland and nude beach ... plus naked Fridays and Undie Sundays, the mood is often naughty and very open to ripe suggestions - look us up in search. With over 1000 people in the group, we're busy 24/7 so come on over
  7. Thankyou for your help I will certainly look
  8. Why do you even need a business partner? If it's just YOU, all profits go to you, complete design is yours, no lengthy meetings - if the business you create does well and you need extra support, then think of getting a friend to help you out (because you will know you can work with the friend and you know their strengths and weaknesses).
  9. hello, I am looking for a hillside house that would be able to jut out over the mountain with hopefully many levels in a cantilevered design. I've only found one example on Marketplace - that's by Post and it is only one level... can anyone else point me in the right direction? Mainland is full of hills and yet there seems to be a real shortage of houses that are built for hills - just flat land that offers no challenges!
  10. 1) Did you (as an adult sim, group or community) apply to be part of SL10B? Yes, Commune Utopia applied (and also had a plot in sl9b last year) 2), If you did apply, did you get accepted? Yes, we have been accepted. We *are* an adult community with sexy times, but also we are naked just for the sheer enjoyment of dancing around a campfire naked, or swimming in our lake bare as the day we were born... but there's a lot more to the community than JUST adult things... we celebrate diversity such as conversations, debates, writing, photography, art, games, magical mystery day trips around sl, etc. 3) If you didn't apply, is the reason why you didn't try, is because you were afraid an adult group would be rejected? N/A 4) If you're adult community, how do you feel about SL Birthday celebrations being totally PG? It's fine... it widens the audience to the commune - people have prejudices against Adult activities, sometimes ... and if we try hard we can restrain ourselves to not mentioning loveorgies (every Monday), naked friday on the nude beach and sunday undie day where we show off our lovely pants...
  11. Ok, a few questions for you, "mystery writer". Where do your reviews get published? What readership do your articles have? Why do we pay you for an impartial review of our sim, or does this mean you write a glowing review because we have lined your pockets with gold? Oh, you are unique - I have never known anyone ask for payment to review a sim - bloggers always do it free... good luck with your business
  12. Alicia Stella does a thermometer donation kiosk and also a sim wide donation box.
  13. wow, that looks amazing! so many inventive rooms! I will be bringing my hippies here on a day trip from the commune for sure... we love unique places x
  14. Thanks so much for this, always wondered how to get a pic up there !!
  15. I definitely do not have the phantom box ticked, this is as soon as I rezz it. I have tried ticking and then unticking the phantom box, but still sink through the prim.
  16. I can't stop rezzing prims that are phantom - help! I just fall though the prims when trying to stand on them. Someone please help me! Using firestorm, if that helps.
  17. Hello Gold, Wheelies seems to have gone, but there is another club for disabled people. Club Accessible is here to provide a safe and friendly environment for able bodied and disabled to enjoy dancing, friendship and fun in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Join us on the beach or at the club. Wheelchair dances! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Taupo/12/40/21 That is the only place I could find that specifically is for wheelchair users. I hope others will give you more choice!
  18. Try emailing them again at editor@lindenlab.com. I had to change my commune destination recently and they changed it within 24 hours good luck x
  19. just wondering why anyone would *want* to touch an object that would ban and eject them... easier just to ban them yourself?!
  20. I'm looking for a sofa with animations for a group - so 9 or 10 of us can all pile on and sit together entwined - not sexy poses necessarily, just friendly - but I can't find anything on marketplace.
  21. Hi :) I am looking for something that will greet the person by name when they enter the commune, in local chat so we can all see the person has arrived. Thanks, Seductive Dreamscape
  22. Thanks naked people are fine at the parties but not sure they want to go bald too...
  23. Thankyou for that link, it was interesting, but I am needing to know the *non official* numbers of people that have managed to be on a homestead rather than the official number which may not be absolutely true...
  24. I've seen on some reports that homesteads have a capacity of 20 people, other times I have read it's 40 people. I have quite a busy place, the traffic can sometimes be 10 -15k a day... we rarely reach 40 avatars all at one time on the plot, though. Is it just not feasible for me to rent a homestead - sims are so expensive and we probably don't need all that space!
