  1. Have fun! This is a beautiful Sim and DJ Sunny is one of the best world music DJs in all of SL!
  2. Commune Utopia is offering Community Space *free* plus starting book groups/writing groups/discussion groups. We are a thriving, busy community of free thinkers and bohemians who have a new Community Centre with many rooms for groups to use with no charge. We have a Writing Snug for scribblers who'd like to meet others with the same passion (and perhaps join our speed writing events). We have a well thumbed Library for those dreamers and thinkers who love to share their addiction to books (and maybe join our monthly Book Group). We have a Debating Circle in front of the fire with many cushions for the folk who enjoy lounging around and discussing subjects dear to their hearts. We have a Speakers' Conservatory for the visiting specialists who'd like to tell us about their world and enlighten us to what goes on outside our little sim. Add to that games of Uno and Greedy, a meditation room for people to clear their heads, a noticeboard for connection, and an empty gallery space for people to share their projects with the rest of the commune each month. Search for Commune Utopia and see how one very friendly and inclusive community can really cooperate together to make good things happen.
  3. I've rented with Prok for around 2 years now, with different parcels as I like to change my environment quite a lot when renting... I have found the system very easy to use. There is no waiting around for group, you just join Ravenglass Rentals (open group), pay the tier box and with the tag, rezz your stuff. If there are some bits and bobs from previous tenants on the parcel, Prok is very quick (within 24 hours) to come and return those bits (I have to say, that's unusual - most plots are clean). You look at the prims within the "about world" to see how many you have rezzed. It's not rocket science. I will continue to rent from Ravenglass Rentals as nowhere on mainland gives me the variety of plot choice or the bargain price. And the other tenants are the friendliest community, too
  4. In which nation is he known *nationwide* as I have absolutely NO idea who you're gossiping about here....
  5. You ask where are the free thinkers and the anarchists? Commune Utopia has thrived within SL for over two years now with its free and multicultural society of over 1000 bohemians all wanting to share and evolve and discuss and be. No, we don't have a whole sim. We like to huddle and cuddle and chat around a lake and dance on a beach where we can talk within shouting distance. We expanded onto a quarter sim where we now have a dancefloor for the 40+ musicians that take it in turns to play live every Wednesday (booked up until July, by the way, and they play for free). We also have an art forest where artists can display their creativity for a month at a time... we have debates that just erupt from nowhere but everyone takes their turn... we encourage any events that people wish to put on (everyone has rezzing rights, everyone can send notices, everyone can do everything! That's called trust in such a large group, and people appreciate it). The land is for all, and people are generous with donations to help support it. We have no drama, we have no griefing, because we have a great group of people who smooth the waters and truly care for everyone who ventures in as a stranger. People generally do not stay strangers for long as they're enveloped in a commune utopia group hug which lingers even after the computer is turned off and reality bites. Come find us... we're waiting.
  6. Hi, I have some stalls available at my hippie commune "Commune Utopia" where we have 10k traffic and 1300 members... you'd get 10 prims for only 500L a MONTH and plenty of promotion through our popular fashion blogs and flickr, as well as sl.com feeds and notices sent to the group. Plus you get free membership of the commune! Let me know if you are interested.

  8. The Pods are still here and are really worth taking a ride on... they're much better than the cars as they actually morph into boats, ski lifts and all kinds of quirky vehicles! You can request them from http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Durango/158/180/117. There are also some other versions around that I think aren't by the same creator but still fun - jeeps and horses and hot air balloons that travel across mainland - you can request them from http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Calleta/186/222/33. And there are some ferries that go around mainland too... one can be found here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tuliptree/212/152/23. Hope this is useful to you
  9. I love exploring - especially mainland on the Pods and trying the alternative methods of transport such as boats, planes and horses Much better when there's two to share the view!!
  10. I happened to see your reply just now... we're an adult sim... we don't have "porno" anims here at the commune but we do embrace the hippie values of free love, creativity and sensuality... you were banned for one single day for being rude to several of the commune members about their beliefs and we have a drama free yet vibrant place here with over 40 musicians and DJs in our 1300 strong family. You're welcome to return, but I wish you luck in your search for the place that fits your musical genre... I bow down to your extensive musical collection and superb knowledge
  11. I hope you find someone, you seem a lovely person x
  12. We have one bohemian hut left to rent in our hippie village.. very cheap at 500L a month with simple furnishings - a vibrant community with lots going on every day (10k traffic, 1300 members). Never a dull moment with a variety of events (art shows, live music, poetry slams, truthball parties, many other games, hippie market stalls, dancing on the beach, fishing, meditation, tai chi, lounging around the lake, debates and good friends... all packed into a bijou little plot that means you don't have to wander for miles to hear a friendly hello Come visit us http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/92/12/21
  13. I'm looking for a mesh boat that has fun/sexy animations... hope someone can recommend some great creators for me :)
  14. Well... that's not a very cool thing to say. We're a worldwide community and people can DJ what they wish - we have so many influences around the world, even african, indian, etc... lots of us love "ethnic music" as you term it. If you had wanted to, you could have DJed the music YOU like and seen if some of the community here liked it - we probably would, as we're quite diverse and like to be introduced to something new. There's not just one proper and correct way to listen to music... Sedi x
  15. thanks for brightening my day
  16. Hi, i am looking for land for rental on the mountain top or mountain side with a view... preferably 30 by 30m. Or alternatively a mountain village with houses for rent that are NOT on a flat boring landscape. I like the twisty turny paths and the sheer drops... someone please advise me and include SLURLS and pics if possible. TYIA. Sedi xo
  17. Hey, you are exactly the type of person that Commune Utopia welcomes! We're a bunch of hippies from around the world that love eclectic, unusual music and we love people who want to share their personal tastes of music with us while we dance on the beach or in the fields. We're a busy and social place, with over 10k traffic and 1300 members. We like people to create and share, so all group members can rezz and set their own streams whenever they want. You also can send notices and group chat to publicise your event. Tips aren't huge, being a hippie community, but you will get many hugs and the best friends you could ever want Look us up in search under Commune Utopia and hope to see you soon xx Sedi xx
  18. *hugs you immediately she reads your lonely posts*. Better now?
  19. I'd rather be known for being kooky than cute... pastel hair colour that changes with my bohemian outfits, a curvy shape that some may well sneer at for being "fat" but reflects my earth mother status and my love of home baking... don't be defined by what one society says "cute" is but create your own version of what you think looks good... there's bound to be someone that appreciates your unique style within sl!

  22. @Pussycat, this is a bit off on a tangent but i had to write to say how sorry I was to hear of your racist experiences in SL... Please don't take this the wrong way, but I don't know if you have a regular hangout but we have some Africans (from SA and mid Africa) and also black people from other continents at the commune utopia I run. Actually we pride ourselves on the diversity of the people that have made the sim their home and we like to collect countries - we have a theme party coming up where we are going to dress in national costume or themed colours of flags! I'd also like to recommend another place for welcoming Africans and that is Sunvibes which is an African music place run by my good friend Szavanna. I want to stress that not all of SL is as narrowminded and bigoted as you unfortunately have seemed to have found it and you are very welcome to come visit us for good times.
  23. Be what you want to be at Commune Utopia. A happy community of hippies, creating the idyllic 60's boho life of music, conversation, love, art, expression of soul. And we'd like to invite you to visit us! We're celebrating two years of happy commune life in September! We can be found at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/74/78/34 We are a hippie commune of over 1000 lovely people on an Adult sim. We have a thriving community, which holds regular parties, live music events, discussions, book clubs, art shows and writing classes. We believe in freedom of expression - freedom in talk, freedom in creativity. You will not find better friends anywhere in sl - freethinking, intelligent and fun people who are extremely loyal to the Commune and the beautiful way of life here. We're not like other places - everyone here has the chance to create their own events, send their own notices, rezz their things and use the Commune the way they want. In return, we have a wonderful variety of events as people share their talents - be it in art, music, literature, dressing up ideas, silly games... As well as all the impromptu stuff, we have: Live music every Wednesday Mystery Day Trips every Thursday Fancy Dress Parties every Friday *new* market stalls to rent and huts to rent - see Seductive Dreamscape for details. What do people say about the Commune? It's one of the rare places in SL where you feel welcomed right away and there are nearly every time people around to have wonderful discussions or great parties with. So the decision to join was pretty easy. I liked the tendency of communers to SPEAK with each other. It immediately felt very different than other naughty-friendly places -- less meat market and more meet market. its laid back, chatty and the people are different (different in a good way) I came to find an inclusive warm community It was a place where one could always find a friendly person to enjoy being with. And a place to make new friends. It's nice that there are a lot of like minded people to share conversation and laughs with warmth, friendliness, feeling of acceptance I like that the commune is a place people can be comfortable to be who they are, and that there weren't a lot of repressive rules People who likes to socialize and share a unique life experience of being in second life Relaxed place with no stress or drama. So come visit us and maybe join our family... we would love to have you with us :) Sedi x Commune Utopia http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/74/78/34
