  1. Be what you want to be at Commune Utopia. A happy community of hippies, creating the idyllic 60's boho life of music, conversation, love, art, expression of soul. And we'd like to invite you to visit us! We're celebrating two years of happy commune life in September! We can be found at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/74/78/34 We are a hippie commune of over 1000 lovely people on an Adult sim. We have a thriving community, which holds regular parties, live music events, discussions, book clubs, art shows and writing classes. We believe in freedom of expression - freedom in talk, freedom in creativity. You will not find better friends anywhere in sl - freethinking, intelligent and fun people who are extremely loyal to the Commune and the beautiful way of life here. We're not like other places - everyone here has the chance to create their own events, send their own notices, rezz their things and use the Commune the way they want. In return, we have a wonderful variety of events as people share their talents - be it in art, music, literature, dressing up ideas, silly games... As well as all the impromptu stuff, we have: Live music every Wednesday Mystery Day Trips every Thursday Fancy Dress Parties every Friday *new* market stalls to rent and huts to rent - see Seductive Dreamscape for details. What do people say about the Commune? It's one of the rare places in SL where you feel welcomed right away and there are nearly every time people around to have wonderful discussions or great parties with. So the decision to join was pretty easy. I liked the tendency of communers to SPEAK with each other. It immediately felt very different than other naughty-friendly places -- less meat market and more meet market. its laid back, chatty and the people are different (different in a good way) I came to find an inclusive warm community It was a place where one could always find a friendly person to enjoy being with. And a place to make new friends. It's nice that there are a lot of like minded people to share conversation and laughs with warmth, friendliness, feeling of acceptance I like that the commune is a place people can be comfortable to be who they are, and that there weren't a lot of repressive rules People who likes to socialize and share a unique life experience of being in second life Relaxed place with no stress or drama. So come visit us and maybe join our family... we would love to have you with us :) Sedi x Commune Utopia http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Orga/74/78/34
  2. Thankyou for your help I will certainly look
  3. Why do you even need a business partner? If it's just YOU, all profits go to you, complete design is yours, no lengthy meetings - if the business you create does well and you need extra support, then think of getting a friend to help you out (because you will know you can work with the friend and you know their strengths and weaknesses).
  4. hello, I am looking for a hillside house that would be able to jut out over the mountain with hopefully many levels in a cantilevered design. I've only found one example on Marketplace - that's by Post and it is only one level... can anyone else point me in the right direction? Mainland is full of hills and yet there seems to be a real shortage of houses that are built for hills - just flat land that offers no challenges!
  5. Ok, a few questions for you, "mystery writer". Where do your reviews get published? What readership do your articles have? Why do we pay you for an impartial review of our sim, or does this mean you write a glowing review because we have lined your pockets with gold? Oh, you are unique - I have never known anyone ask for payment to review a sim - bloggers always do it free... good luck with your business
  6. Alicia Stella does a thermometer donation kiosk and also a sim wide donation box.
  7. wow, that looks amazing! so many inventive rooms! I will be bringing my hippies here on a day trip from the commune for sure... we love unique places x
  8. Thanks so much for this, always wondered how to get a pic up there !!
  9. I definitely do not have the phantom box ticked, this is as soon as I rezz it. I have tried ticking and then unticking the phantom box, but still sink through the prim.
  10. I can't stop rezzing prims that are phantom - help! I just fall though the prims when trying to stand on them. Someone please help me! Using firestorm, if that helps.
  11. Hello Gold, Wheelies seems to have gone, but there is another club for disabled people. Club Accessible is here to provide a safe and friendly environment for able bodied and disabled to enjoy dancing, friendship and fun in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Join us on the beach or at the club. Wheelchair dances! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Taupo/12/40/21 That is the only place I could find that specifically is for wheelchair users. I hope others will give you more choice!
  12. Try emailing them again at editor@lindenlab.com. I had to change my commune destination recently and they changed it within 24 hours good luck x
  13. just wondering why anyone would *want* to touch an object that would ban and eject them... easier just to ban them yourself?!
  14. I'm looking for a sofa with animations for a group - so 9 or 10 of us can all pile on and sit together entwined - not sexy poses necessarily, just friendly - but I can't find anything on marketplace.
  15. Hi :) I am looking for something that will greet the person by name when they enter the commune, in local chat so we can all see the person has arrived. Thanks, Seductive Dreamscape
  16. Thanks naked people are fine at the parties but not sure they want to go bald too...
  17. Thankyou for that link, it was interesting, but I am needing to know the *non official* numbers of people that have managed to be on a homestead rather than the official number which may not be absolutely true...
  18. I've seen on some reports that homesteads have a capacity of 20 people, other times I have read it's 40 people. I have quite a busy place, the traffic can sometimes be 10 -15k a day... we rarely reach 40 avatars all at one time on the plot, though. Is it just not feasible for me to rent a homestead - sims are so expensive and we probably don't need all that space!
  19. Add me... my sisters also at the Commune Utopia would be interested in this group too I am sure Sedi <3
  20. Please don't feel a failure! I want to invite you to Commune Utopia where many people gather at all times of the day and night for good conversation in a relaxed and happy environment. We have many events, discussions, parties, writing workshops, art and photography contests etc as well as places to just sit and hang out with friendly faces. <3 Peace and love, Sedi
  21. I love your enthusiasm... but ever thought about walking before you can run? Start out small and then expand as needs grow... it does take time to build a community - people are wanting many experiences in sl, so they will not be as dedicated to your sim as you would like them to be. Good luck in filling all those positions... but I would advise you to focus on just one or maybe two of those businesses, make them successful and then roll out two more... not have a cast of thousands when your traffic is likely to be low at the start. If you need any advice please contact me inworld and see my community of nearly 1000 happy people that I have on a 8192 plot. It works, and the rent is low
  22. I'd like a cake to make people exclaim *wow* for celebrations/rezzdays/every day at my commune. I'd like it to be as low prim as possible yet have the x factor :) I challenge you to find me the best cake in sl - that also gives a great eating anim too ...
  23. I'd like a diary that people can enter their rezzday in, and it will sort by date so that every day we can see whose rezzday it is to celebrate. I have a group with 700 people and we can never keep up with whose special day it is...
  24. Search on marketplace for affiliate businesses. You take a percentage of what is sold through the vendor boards. Hope this helps x
