I make a Christmas item every year... the idea of a globe is a good one, ty! But what I am seeing isn't the gentle up and down you get naturally, it's been really rapid decline for no apparent reason.

Thankyou for your honest reply! Sometimes it's hard to guage because people (naturally) like to put a bit of a spin on their figures, lol But for me, this past month has been like someone turning off the lights. A rapid decline, with no apparent reason which is worrying.

Since Hurricane Sandy I have seen my sales falling off the cliff! I'm not sure if this is the cause (and if so, who am I to moan?) But I was wondering if other merchants were seeing this fall off. Usually December is a brilliant month, but so far my figures have shrunk by two thirds, which is really worrying.

Noticing that my sales seemed very low today I checked my sales history to discover that LL had taken over 60 x 599L$ payments in the space of 2 hours...so I'm over 50k down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This happened today between 11:28:47 and 14:05:49. I've sent a ticket, but urge everyone to double check their own accounts.

I'm in the same boat too... Have filed a ticket, but nothing happens....

Make sure you migrate products in SMALL batches... my merchant folder has been 'initialising' for months after I watched Torleys video (which didn't mention not moving more than 100 items at a time) So until its fixed, I can't add anything new into the Merchant folder and have to keep using my Magic Box

...That's why I put FIRST real threat... it has the might of Facebook behind it, and love it or hate it, it does have a massive presence, and the ability to promote it. Sadly SL has all but slipped from visibility thanks to zero promotion and, as you say, an inability to keep up with newer platforms such as a mobile client...

Mine is still screwed too... I have about 250 items... only 100 have transfered, and I still get the initialising message....

I think the decline started when they merged the teen grid with the adult grid and created No-Go areas for many people who didnt want to log their credit card/passport detail with LL to access them. SL is a 'slow burn' environment which hooks people gradually. I joined in 2007 and loved exploring EVERYWHERE.... I would find it a very dull place if I joined today. The reason marketplace wins hand down for shoppers is the length of time it takes for things to rez in world. You can make a cup of tea and walk the dog before my store rezzes fully for me... It only houses about a third of my builds, but at least lets customers see the quality and style before they buy, and I will always rez pieces on request. If SL is to pick up, we need to make it open and inclusive once more. Get rid of those 'members only' sims... they should be free and an inspiration for everyone. Kill the maturity ratings. Pandering to the teen audience his sucked the joy from experience for everyone.

how do i change "User not online - message will be stored and delivered later." to a my own message? I would like to be able to let people know when I am on holiday...

I would imagine that this promo was inspired by the current huge success of Mad Men on TV... but it's been watered down to a fairly meaningless "Mad style" concept, which really isn't a coherent idea for a promo at all...

I have been noticing over the past couple of weeks folders appearing in my inventory which I haven't created myself. These correspond to items in my Magic Box. Worryingly the items in these folders are incomplete. I sell furniture which is bundled up with lots of accessories, and most of the accessories dont appear in these new mysterious folders. Does anyone know what's going on?

I place many listing enhancements... which is why it's rather worrying! I haven't actually checked my history in a while...

I was having issues buying anything from the marketplace, and I had incorrect amounts of lindens showing up on on their server, and SL." So it's a MP issue that seems to be yet another by product of the 'improvements' being made atm....
