  1. Now I need to know about those *.raw files! and how do I get them to make the sea lower and the mountains higher.
  2. Yay! I just raised my water to 100 M and flooded my world! Sorry, Noah, no warning, 🤣🙃😜
  3. I know inventory sorting is a science, I had a quick idea I want to see what you think as far as feasable or practical. For example, I have a closet, in world, and I can in theory hang outfits on it. Then I just click the outfit, or single clothing, and it's that easy? Or am I missing something huge. The problem I am trying to address is that inventory feels like work when it should, for some (like me), feel like dress up. I am fully capable of folder management, but, isn't there a funner way? Just an idea. (I am aware of the closet systems and I applaud them.)
  4. Oh, I get it now. Heterocera. You remeber, I do too. Again, nice.
  5. Well, I like them, not sure how they would look in action.
  6. Lol, I have no idea 🙂 edit: but the low level texture makes me think of Monet, my fave. The second looks like Renoir. The third like the bad guy in The Punisher and the 4 like another Monet. So awesome.
  7. OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH @Qie Niangao (I forgot to quote I was so happy)
  8. So would my new question be not, how do I lower my seafloor but, how do I raise my water level?
  9. Thanks! That's what I was thinking, that I have seen deeper water. Thank you. edit: This is from the link that Rolig initially responded with Maximum water height: 100 meters using inworld controls, 255 meters by using a *.raw file upload. Region water height is usually 20 meters, and adjacent regions should have the same water height, or else they will look discontinuous.
  10. No way I am putting a fireplace inside my home called End of World, that's like movie screaming, don't! 🤣 ps, I need shrubbery
  11. New month, new project. This is literally only two things, a mesh island with sim surround and the house. All I did was place it and take the picture. It's a French Manor, and since Charolotte is French I thought was perfect. Now I just need to add a bunch of plants and crashing waves. p.s. And dragons 😜 Maybe a water dragon.
  12. I looked up Angle of Repose, that was very very helpful. Thank you. angle of repose 1 physics : the angle that the plane of contact between two bodies makes with the horizontal when the upper body is just on the point of sliding : the angle whose tangent is the coefficient of friction between the two bodies 2 or angle of rest : the angle of maximum slope at which a heap of any loose solid material (as earth) will stand without sliding Ha, as an aside, I looked to see how many meters I am, I am 1.95, or 6.5 feet! I know SL height vs RL height is a contentious subject, just thought was interesting. Also, I can't figure out how to fix the text formatting of the text I pasted. Anyway, that can be my next question 🙃
  13. Hi, I just got my water 20 meters deep, doesn't sound like very deep but also when you consider the region is only 256 meters by 256 meters it's not bad. In fact, it is perfect.
  14. Yep, it seems I could vary the height somehow, I'm happy with what I have. Thanks! Region water height is usually 20 meters, from that link. Seems the mountains can go up 100 and seafloor down 20, thanks!
  15. Hi. I just went down as far as I can go and I found it interesting that my land elevation at sea floor is 0. (128, 128, 0). I made a prim, the distance from my sea floor is 10 meters to sea level. 🙂 I found this: 'Continental Water is the water that can be found on all continents, private and Linden-owned. It has the average heigth of 17 meters. From https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Water
  16. i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart) i am never without it (anywhere i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling) i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart) - e.e cummings
  17. Perhaps it is why we all end up at the reflecting pools. Narnia reference again, but, yes. The pools were a place where you could go and go into other worlds, like we do here, with our photos, glimpses of the same world we share but from completely different perspectives. Which is what art and photography film and music is right? An elaborate attempt to express the ordinary in an extraordinary way, or simply put, trying to show the magic in the everything. At the pools though, the world was ending. As it relates to Second Life? I don't know, I think everything does eventually.
  18. I named my place Safe Haven, even if it's the end of the world, at least they play nice music. (Crickets, Crows and Waves, oh and seagulls).
  19. Your region is lovely, when I was doing work in progress I put up cute orange cones/signs etc, was cute.
  20. ok, sorry, I just thought of that too.
  21. Is there a basic setting I am not getting? I love my face and I love my body but they wont match up. I know it's a big issue, but what is the solution? Or is there none.
