  1. ONE SOLD, Eight still available. All that open water just waiting for you, in your boat, with your friends.
  2. CABRIA is GROWING (again) !!!! This is very exciting for us, and a great chance for you, whether you already have a sailboat, or want one, but need a place near home to use one. We have two brand new homestead regions, Cabria Lagoon and Cabria Bay, attached to our beautiful long term home named Cabria Village. We are Gay owned and managed, and can generally promise response to your needs in 24 hours or less. These new regions together offer the nine new parcels, ranging in price from $L350 to $L1800 per week, with LI allowances ranging from 196 to 1037. All of the parcels are 'lightly landscaped' and some of the parcels have demo homes on them. These parcels are set to buy for a low one time purchase price, and you then pay bi-weekly tier (minimum of 2 weeks). Once purchased, you have almost full control of your parcel, with the exception of terraforming (that is locked, but we can help if you want some minor changes). A major attraction is over 49,000 square meters of open water which is available to all estate residents for your boating fun. All of the new parcels have access to the water, and most have room for a home and a boat. But we also have a few boat docks which are reasonably priced, and available for anyone who would like to keep a boat here. We also have a few small retail spaces available for rent on the main Cabria Village region, if you have anything you want to sell, available inworld. The list below shows the available parcels as of the date of this post: Parcel Name Purchase L$ Tier L$/week LI Limit Parcel size (sqm) Lagoon NE 800 1,600 906 11,888 Lagoon East 700 1,500 853 11,184 Lagoon SE 800 1,600 899 11,792 LaPlaya 200 350 196 2.576 Bay NE 500 900 510 6,688 Bay East 700 1,300 747 8,640 Bay SE 800 1,800 1,037 13,600 Bay SW 700 1,450 822 10,784 Bay Sunset 350 650 373 4,896 However, because things change, the best way to find these, and which are still available, is to visit our rental office, on the Cabria Village region. There you will find a list of all parcels available, with notecards and landmarks for each parcel. Or, if you prefer, just use the world map and Teleport to any of the parcels that still show as for sale. The office is here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cabria Village/91/105/22 P.S. We also have a resident, and estate manager at Cabria who just happens to be a master builder of unique homes, named Edward Ballinger. Some of our demo homes are his creations, and you can find his sales platform at the rental office by using the teleporter, or clicking the billboard sign for Prestige Homes. Edward is also available for custom builds, if you want a new home but do not find exactly what you had in mind in his vendor.
  3. Update Two: In response to a fair amount of feedback, we have reduced the price of these three new parcels to better match the prices you may find elsewhere. There is also a new smaller parcel which will be ready for sale/rent very soon. And, on the new region, Cabria Bay: We are setting up 5 new parcels as time allows (yes, we do all have a RL which must be tended to). These new parcels will be priced at or near the same lower level as the Cabria Lagoon, which is about $L1.76 per LI per week. Most exciting now is that between these two regions, we have over 49,000 sqm of open water, which will be available to all Cabria residents for all kinds of boating fun!
  4. Exciting Update: Yes, we realize the 'price per prim (LI)' for these parcels is a bit higher than what you can find elsewhere. We may decide later to lower the price a bit, or have a short-term sale price. Meanwhile, please ask if you are interested but would like to pay less. But, here is the fun news - It was so much fun putting this together that we have added a second homestead, named Cabria Bay. This is just to the South, and will double the open water sailing space, as well as offering a few more smaller parcels and boat docks, at a lower price. So keep an eye out here for more news, or visit our rental office.
  5. This is a nice, quiet, region, with three large Purchase/rent parcels, one Rental only parcel, Boat docks (to rent), and around 27,000 sq meters of open water for your boating pleasure. The three Purchase/rent parcels are all for sale for a one time purchase price of $L800, and have a weekly tier of from $L1660 to $L1770. Below are snapshots of the three large parcels. Note that by the time you see them the landscaping and the buildings on them may have changed. In any case, you are free to return any objects on the parcel, if you just want to start from a 'blank page'. You can visit our rental office to find these, or other parcels in Cabria Village, here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cabria Village/92/105/22 Or visit the parcels directly as shown below. 6. Price Reduced! After doing a bit of checking around, I have decided to lower the rental price of these two parcels from $L550 per week to $L500. This seems to be more in line with a target of less than $L1 per prim per week.
  7. Two great smaller parcels on the eastern edge of the Sim, with gorgeous sunrises., and a River on the west side. Room for a small to medium sized home and some nice landscaping as well. 512 prims, 1680 sqm. One-time Purchase price of each parcel is $L300. Weekly tier, not included in purchase price, is $L550. If both are still available, and you want a larger parcel, that can be arranged. The demo homes on the parcels are just to give you an idea of how a home might look, and can be returned. 8. Thanks Rowan, the problem is this is a nice quiet residential sim, and each resident owns their own parcel, and so controls their own access. On top of that, we do not allow ban lines, which would show up with those restrictions. For now, I am just monitoring who pops in, and the time and exact location where they appear. If I see the same name more than once, I may region ban them, but so far every occurrence has been a unique name.
  9. Thanks Carla, you put it better than I did, and that is exactly what I am seeing, and how I feel about it. The only way I can think of to stop this 'invasion' would to restrict access to the entire region, and that would be a nightmare for the people who are paying me to have a free and open place to enjoy their second life. I am quite sure I could try reporting every one of these mystery names to SL, but also quite sure they would do nothing about it, since no harm has been done - - - yet.
  10. Thanks Rowan, that is my hope, because at least if they are survey bots they probably mean no harm. The thing that still bothers me is the meaningless names, and that every visitor has a different name (no repeat visits), and that they arrive at such a high level. But who knows, maybe that is just to avoid any possible security issues on the ground.
  11. I own a private region, that is pretty much off the 'beaten path', not connected to any other regions. We have about seven rental tenants, who each own their own parcel, and for the most part the region is very quiet. I do watch who comes and goes, with visitor trackers, but normally I see nothing odd. Since late June, I have been seeing some very odd 'visitors', who all enter at around 2045 meters high, at seemingly random coordinates, stay less than a minute, and then leave. I have not seen any evidence of foul play, and feel fairly protected from any griefing, as I have asked all residents to disallow 'public' Build or Object Entry. What caught my eye as odd is the names of the visitors, many of which end in AAA or ZZZ or SSS, but with a few other variations, none of which look like real names, but rather like some sort of pattern meant to confuse. Almost all that I have checked profiles on have basically empty profiles, and were created about 3 months ago. I have IM's a few to ask if I can help them find something but they never answer, which may suggest they are some sort of Bots? I also have not seen the same name twice, which is particularly odd it seems. I am more curious than concerned, but this just does not make any sense, so I thought to ask if anyone else has noticed such a thing. Would appreciate any feedback, even just theories of what this may be about?
  12. While we are all being a bit grumpy about this, I have one more complaint. I was watching the region where I have a parcel, beginning at 7 AM PDT, when they started. I saw regions all around get restarted, but mine never did. Then at about 8 or 8:30 they announced the restarts were done. So I went back to my parcel, and POOF about an hour later the region was finally restarted, and got the new version. Not what one might call 'user friendly'. Similar thing happened with the last RC channel rollout as well.
  13. Price reduced! One parcel sold almost immediately, and I have no current use for the other two, so the purchase price has been reduced to $L1200. This is a very quiet region, low to no lag. And these are also still available to rent, if you prefer, and cannot buy because you are not a premium member.
  14. One parcel sold, just two left. Please ignore the link in the original post, and use this one instead: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sammamish/35/29/118
  15. The land is somewhat hilly, and rocky, but has a mysterious appeal (to me at least). If you would prefer to rent, at $L425 per week, you can expect expert help from our small staff, and of course if you are not thrilled with the ground level, you can always pop up to a platform in the sky. The location below is at the corner where all three parcels meet. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sammamish/31/33/118 If you are a Premium member, and do not own any other mainland, your monthly tier for these parcels will be zero, and they can be purchased for $L1400.

  17. Thanks Logan, that was sort of my theory, and hope, also. Time will tell I guess when we get back back to a more regular roll schedule.
  18. Serious question, are Apples and Oranges actual real channels, which are a subset of the larger number of regions included in the other RC channels? I ask, because I own a parcel on a region named Agapema, and I bought there specifically BECAUSE it was on an RC channel. But it has not been restarted on any of several recent 'RC Channel' rollouts. Ever since the channel identification of regions was removed, I have depended on the day of the rollout to let me know that Agapema was still an RC channel. If it is not, I am faced with a big project to move that parcel elsewhere.
  19. As requested, the actual copy/paste of the information from the Help/About Second Life would be much more helpful than your own interpretation of what your system looks like. In particular, it would show the exact level of the region server and your viewer. It would also show details about your video card and its version, which may be important.
  20. I believe the warnings about not rezzing no copy items only apply to the actual day of the rolling restart, and those are generally done fairly early. The reason for that warning, is that sometime before the region is updated, a full copy is made that includes all items rezzed at that point in time. When the region is restarted, which could be sometime later, it is that copy that is restored, so any no copy item that was rezzed after the copy, would be lost.
  21. We are a well established (since 2009) LGBTQ owned estate, with less than 12 parcels on our single region. Very low one-time parcel purchase prices, and very reasonable rental rates. Both the region owner and an almost full-time estate manager are inworld most of every day, all year long, to help with any issues. We tend to have loyal, long-term residents, and have had literally no major dramas in my memory. Our hope is to keep everyone satisfied, and to quickly resolve any minor misunderstandings. Here is what we have open right now: Sunset $L725 per week for 712 prims (LI). One-time purchase $L425 West central Sim Edge, 2336 sqm This is a very nice sunset location on the western edge of the Sim, with open ocean on the west side, and a river on the north side. Creekside $L350 per week for 351 prims (LI). One-time purchase $L250 West central location, 1152 sqm, this is a cozy smaller parcel on the edge of a creek. Perfect spot for a small quiet home. Riverside West $L800 per week for 776 prims (LI). One-time purchase $L425 Nice parcel on the south edge of the Sim, nestled between two well-established long-term Cabria residents. Existing buildings may be returned if you wish. NOTE: Creekside and Sunset can be combined into one rental, if they are both still available, for a total of about 1063 prims (LI), at a price of $L950 per week. The Rental office is located here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cabria Village/91/105/22 This is a good place to check for any changes in what is available. Please do be sure to read the Estate Covenant before purchasing a parcel, And also to pay your first two weeks rental at the nearby rental flag. Contact Owner: Myles Capalini Estate Manager: Edward Ballinger SPECIAL OFFER Through September 2018: Mention that you found us through this post, and you will receive one additional week paid rent after paying your first two weeks.
  22. Thanks KT, I had not thought of that alternative, and I see how it might work. I should probably just quit wondering about this, since I doubt there is any positive way of knowing exactly how or why people are doing this, and it does not seem to be happening very often anyway.
