Yup. It's forbidden by the ToS you agree to when you use SL. No child avatars on A-rated land. What is the point of keeping bringing intent/actions up? Intent, adult or not, does not matter. Not permitting child avis on A-rated lands is about the simplest way to address bad actors, and whatever LL needs to address, given the whole BoM loophole that still needs addressing/explaining and potential lack of updated child avatars available that meet the other requirements being brought into force. Still have not heard a good reason (in 50 pages) beyond "Its annoying" or "I don't wanna to be made to do that" why taking 5–10 seconds and changing avatars to go onto A-rated sim seems so problematic. Frustrating, perhaps. Annoying? Perhaps. Personally don't like it? Perhaps. An actual issue, as in "I can't do that"? No, everyone has access to free adult avatars to go and fiddle with a rental box or shop on A-rated land. The exit door's here if anyone doesn't like the new rules that much. PS. No. Proportionally (again, as an artist) it's wrong. Eyes too big. Nose too short with ratio of where the lips and nose tip are to top of head. Angle from flare of nose to outer edges of eyes wrong. Mouth far too small width-wise and too close to nose and bottom of chin. I don't care what AI thing you're using to judge, but any artist who can draw a face well will tell you that's not a 20 year old face, except in the most cartoonish way.

You got it! You can't enter an Adult-rated region with a child avatar. Change avatars. Fixed. The rule seems plain enough to me, but here it is again ... "Residents presenting as Child Avatars shall be prohibited from ... (e)ntering any Region rated Adult. Residents must change to a non-child or non-childlike avatar to visit Adult rated regions." Change to a dragon, mouse, adult female, furry, whatever and have at it.

And/or don't be on A-rated land either.

Ahem ... It's necessary because those are the new rules. It really has nothing to do with what anyone wants, them's the rules. It has nothing to do with behaviours or intent.

I think we need to differentiate between want and need. A person running an avatar may want to run about as a child naked on a nude beach sim. I get that this is possible here and RL. There is no need to do that, however, because why not kiddie bathing suit? The later point is LL's new ToS and view it seems, and it boils down to the usual point in life that if you "don't like the rules, don't play the game (in that way)." Not the nicest way I could have put that, but that's the gist of things now.

It takes what? 5–10 seconds to change to an appropriate avatar for those tasks? Open panel, right click on a preset adult avatar you have (or a housecat in my case), choose "replace avatar" and voila. Good to go. Sorry, but you make it sound like something dreadfully onerous.

Couldn't the whole BoM thing on top of your base avatar's skin layer problem be solved by either LL themselves making approved kid avatars (though after Senra's overall look, maybe not) or simply have any shop selling child/pre-teen avatars simply turn off BoM and work with any one of a handful of popular skin places to make them in the right skin tones? For example, you go to shop for your 10 year old avatar body at "10 year Olds R Us" and buy the boy one. Voila, inside the HUD for the body are 10 skin settings from Velour to pick from (much like the new LaraX comes with), and no BoM option, so that when buy your head you simply need a skin for that head that matches the Velour tones?

Eep! Eww! I get awfully flirty and whisper whisper whisper while dancing sometimes, but honestly, people, have some modesty! If it's getting that warm on the dance floor get a room, people! Then again I'm the type that always TPs home into my bath/closet/clothes room to change clothes cause how would you change into a new outfit in public in RL?

I recommend and use TheSkinnery for head/body skins, but there are a number of good vendors these days including ItGirl, Deetalez, and others. For little tweaks to the skin Izzies has so many BoM modifications like veins, freckles, stretch marks etc. Head I love Lelutka and have had others in the past. Hairs for me are DOUX and Magika, with Stealthic and No_ close behind those two brands. You could find a shape store like Wrens and buy a premade shape then tweak it, or start with a proportions guide etc. IT taes a lot of fiddling with LaraX to get it right because Lara and X are so different in terms of sliders and what they seem to do. Finally, there are a lot of clothes for LaraX in a wide range of styles from casual, sexy mom, formal, etc that I have been compl;etely able to switch to X without any difficulty. I must have at least 50 amazing outfits now—which does not compare to my 500+ for Lara—but I'm keeping my shopping under control this time around and only buying what i know I love within a few clear categories. I mean, how many formal gowns do you need? I have about 8 now in a range of styles and that will do. 20 causal outfits with a range of styles and looks is also enough for me these days, not 150, 120 of which I never wore because "Ooo, that one's nicer!" The latest events like Fameshed, Uber, Cosmpolitan etc usually have X clothing now (though a few designers seem to be not bothering with X yet, so I pass them by). ISON, neve, amias, fashionably dead, Addams, Dead Doll, Mimikri, Tres Blah, ValentinaE, Just Because, and some things are getting updated at the main Maitreya store too ... lots of great fashion for X out there for every taste and look.

That's why you always show up after the principal has shown up and blend into the gathered crowd of students, while he's both admiring your artistic talents in getting the perspective so good on a large surface area, and cursing the vandal who sprayed the wall of the gym, with a knapsack of paint cans at the far end of the parking lot under some bushes, and hands perfectly clean (latex gloves also in backpack). That's on the line for me as a practicing artist who has made a living painting portraits decades ago. And it's not just the oddly angled jaw and smooth youthful facial look and expression. I'd additionally look at your profile, language and terms, groups you belong to, how' you're behaving at the sim, what sim you're at, etc. I'd also look closely at your overall shape which in this image is distorted by the pose. At something like PG-rated Muddys I'd let it pass. If you were in Hotwife Hotel, a "grandpa" sim, or even a place like a well-known south Pacific island themed sim (ahem) that caters to the older man/younger woman crowd and makes no bones about that theming with their waif thin teen avis in bikinis and muscular men with beards vibe, I'd definitely call you out as pre-18. Subjective yes, I know, but it will be a bunch of factors that add up.

Yes, but those parcels (even if individually owned) can not change the overall sim's rating. If you buy a parcel, you're stuck with the highest default maturity rating. That's the reason people pay so much for adult-rated mainland, or rent/buy an entire homestead, sim etc to set their own rating. To state that no mod == selfishness, would get a failing mark in any logic class. So your morality argument is flawed from the get go because you've assumed there could only be that (selfishness) as a justification. There have been plenty of examples given why someone might do that. They have successfully provided answers to the original question, "What Justification Is There For No Mod Permissions?", even if we don't agree with them. Is it right? For the creator, I guess so. To others in the thread, I guess not. But that depends on your definition of right, and that seems to be the misalignment here between many of the voices. For me, I make all my paintings no copy, no mod, and transfer. Sort of like the RL art I sell (though, granted, you could "mod" it by painting over my work but why? But I guess I wouldn't care?) I sell them for L350 (about CDN $2 dollars) for up to three hours of my real life work and time and 40 years of experience making art. That's not selfish.

There is such a wide range of body skins and BoM enhancements from places like Izzies that I'd be hard pressed to suggest you spend money on a custom made skin. For heads/faces, I can see that, though the issue then becomes having it match/blend seamlessly to your neck where you body skin is. There is one skin maker known for creating celebrity and custom face designs (her name always escapes me yet easily found in the Marketplace), but the cost of creating a custom face that only you own was I thought too high, something like 65,000L or something. Way into the hundreds of RL $ anyway. I'd be happy if I could just finish mine off with a little BoM cleft on the tip of my nose, and get the tip a tiny bit more squarish.

And yes, all your belongings, friends list etc stays with the new name. It's still the same account in the system. Note that this feature is sometimes considered a negative if you're simply try to change names to avoid your old friends; changing names is not like an alt account.
