  1. I pretty much always tip the DJ & the host.  I hosted in SL myself & greatly appreciated the tips, you are putting in the hours, but I never expected them.   No one is expecting you to tip so if you can't afford it then don't - you can always say "thank you" tho.  🙂

Not be scolded into tipping. When that happens, that's my cue to leave and never return.

    ugh - that's just nasty

I'm actually for the first time, investing into an alt I made about a month ago, when I wanted to see what the new members starting point was like..

Too daunting for me !  lol .. but she can hit me up inworld & we'll go explore some.

I think I might have done some halloween tour, lots of ghosts & zombies, tunnels, etc.  don't know how I got there, was waiting for the horny teenagers to get bumped off but that didn't happen. 😕

  3. Thanks - that kinda makes sense.

My guess is that when you "remove" the cross, it merely hides it. And it would hide it by making the cross full alpha (transparent).
Your chest hair appears to be a layer on the body and those layers usually have alpha blending, because that looks best with body hair and most tattoos. You can usually change the alpha blending to an alpha mask by clicking a button on the body's HUD but that will make the layer look rather harsh, especially with body hair.
However, try it anyway and see if the line goes away. If it does, then I am right about how the cross and its string get "removed".

So, assuming that worked, I will want to to toggle the alpha blending back on using the HUD. We now need to know if the necklace is modifiable. If so, you can edit linked parts on it, and set the string and cross to alpha mask, and set the value of the mask to 255 (the lower the value, the more is visible of the original texture). This should take care of your wax job 🙂

Do note that if you ever unhide the cross and its string again, it is likely that you will have to redo the above steps again.

Amazingly that makes sense  😮🙂  & yes, it is merely hidden, here it is under "edit" with only the feather part showing.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to copy it & create the outfits separately independent of the necklace HUD.

  4. This necklace is configurable via a HUD & comes with a cross.   This is what happened after I removed the cross portion, a very fine wax job on my chest hair !  wth ... lol .. & how do I fix it ?  Taking the chest hair on & off via the Legacy HUD keeps the waxed portion in place (the necklace is TMP Rigged - maybe I should not be using it on a Legacy body ??).   Baseline Horus is ok so I'm thinking I'll have to rebuild the outfit from that without the cross ... ?  I dunno.. any thoughts ??

Look into the Nexus body hair range from CheerNo. Flickr here (warning for NSFW images at that link). They include BoM, plus appliers for Gianni, Jake, and Legacy.

Thanks - that's done the trick.

Very nice! It IS a feeling of accomplishment, isn't it? That's looking really great! (You don't have hair on your back, though, right? Right?)

And yes, the people here are very nice, aren't they?

    (Except me, of course.)

It is def that - & thanks !  He is no where near as good looking as Horus1 but maybe I can get him there.

And yeah, they are very nice, except you of course - I was warned.

imma check the back hair thing next time I load Horus2 up ...

  7. I have done a Signature body with a leLutka head all by myself !!  😜😄

With the help of a lot you wonderful people here I am finally getting somewhere with this stuff.  It is still feeling a little hit & miss-guess work, so a few more tries & we'll see...

Oh, & I think the other Horus is much better looking than this - just wish I could find some chest hair for his Legacy body.

Here is a picture of me as a cat. To keep up with the bumping.  I was this cat about 7 hours ago.  I probably shouldn't post this one. I got tossed out of the live music event for being a cat.

    That's a very cute cat.

  9. phew - I swapped to the old system avi & back to the Baseline Horus without a hitch.  I know, I know ... but ...

Anyways, that means that I can configure a different body with the same head without having to use an alt, safe in the knowledge that I can get back.  More pennies are dropping.

Oh wait .. I've just had a thought, I need to copy the HUD for the head too ...

At least not in firestorm. Just make a new folder named Baseline Horus, copy the item you are wearing, then paste but not as a link into the new folder.

That is what I am going to do but it seems in LL viewer I cannot copy items that are currently being worn.  I have just tried again & a few different ways (from the worn folder, from the main panel, by dragging, etc. - no go).    Will log in with Firestorm & see if that is any better.
