    Hey Karolina, You'd definitely need a premium account to get a piece of mainland, so I guess in that sense, it's not totally free hehe. But otherwise, you'd be surprised to find that sometimes residents will sell their lands at deeply discounted prices because they are leaving SL or simply leaving that land... so in that sense, if you have a lot of patience, you could potentially get free or very cheap lands 🙂 That said, those opportunities are rare. Keep in mind though, you still have to be premium + pay tier on any of the land you own, even if you paid nothing to acquire it ... think of it as... buying a piece of real estate, then having to pay taxes on it. https://secondlife.com/land/pricing Probably what you really want would be to get a premium account and take advantage of a free linden home. Linden homes are pretty cookie-cutter, but are a good option if you don't need many prim -> https://go.secondlife.com/premium Otherwise, you may find that just renting a small place out is one of the most budget-friendly things you can do, usually cheaper than having to pay tier depending on what you are doing (and who/where you are renting from).
