sorry I'm really new to SL, I don't quite know the ethics of it yet. I was just wondering if there were some places that would let you do it for free for a while until we found a place

We don't have the money right now to buy land so my friends and I had set up a house in a place called Romantic Sands or something, but now we can't get back into it because someone put their house where we were and put a security bot up. Or mayb I'm just banned, idk. Not sure why I would've been tho and it didnt' start until I deleted my house and someone else put a house there. We wanted to stay here for a while because apparently they don't delete buildings often but I don't know where to go now that isn't a 'clear within a few hours' thing. Can someone let me know of a place like this?

I guess it's not 'custom' so much as it is appliers or something. I am using the base avatar. I am a male but the base allows me to wear female clothes it seems like, and I don't know if this will work if I buy a custom male body. My friend said it doesn't work on his avatar. I also need to have a very specific face but with Second life's limited capabilites I don't look like I want to. Is it possible for me to buy a custom body/head and try to make the face I want there? Because the regular bodies are ugly. But I don't want to use my ability to wear the clothes I have... I considered making my own custom head morph but I wouldn't know where to begin. I am familiar with Blender but I don't know how it would work with skin... or how I'd use it.

it says i have to have an XML file to import...? I don't know how to do that. That option isn't even available to save in photoshop even if i wanted to try.

I want to put better looking skin on my avatar without selling it but I have no idea how to do that. When I right click textures on my avatar it shows me the attached textures but not what I can do with them or how I can upload my own. Also I'm confused because it shows that my clothes are on my skin... Which I guess makes sense but what would happen if I made my own skin? I don't know how to package it or preview it or anything and I can't seem to find any good tutorials. I don't need to know how to make a skin or use Photoshop; I have experience in that. I just don't know how to preview/package/upload. I just don't know WHERE to upload it, or how.

I'm kind of a noob but I feel like this isn't right, regardless. I wanted to mix and match my outfits but everytime I put an alpha on, it automatically takes off another alpha. So I can't even wear shoes, pants, or shirts without one part of my body poking through. It doesn't make any sense because when I loaded the avatar and edited it, all of the alphas were on and working. But I took all my clothes off and put something else on that didn't need alphas. Now when I try to put clothes back on, I can't. someone please help me.
