  1. Since HB & Stilt OPs always seem to be in short supply, a suggestion for this area:

is to have HBs & Stilt OPs all connected via one large boardwalk (with maybe a community centre on an island) to make one large walkable area. To allow sailing (esp. East-West) have drawbridges so sailors can raise them up to pass through and pedestrians/cyclists can lower to travel round.

On the topic of railroads in Bellisseria.  Now obviously we won't have railroads in the fantasy area it would be out of place.

However there is this little area that is still unfinished appears there are some tracks going north in the Log area that is unfinished.  Any thoughts on where this may head to???

More Log Home regions and maybe further on down into a Vic&Trad area. My thoughts on expansion:

I wish that had focused on the NW log coastline first.  They have been waiting longer, and have a direct impact on sailing options.

I think they're just keeping their options open. It's clear they have enough Fantasy & Chalet homes, so they can be finished. As for this section, they can expand northwards building more Log Homes with Vics & Trads on the western edge. Just how many more Log Homes are needed to provide an availability buffer will become clearer with the release of the next theme(s). Once Logland is complete they can then build more Vics & Trads (as there are clearly insufficient to meet demand) round the North providing the desired sailing channel(s) to the stilts through them.

@Maestro LindenSo SLS will roll(?) but still syay on the same server version.  Thanks for the info but it is as clear as mud.  How does one roll to the same server version, I thought that wasn't possible?

.., but we are instead going to use a new technique we've been testing successfully on Aditi this afternoon to restart the Second Life RC versions with their existing version 2021-10-01.564394 for all RCs. If it works we'll restart all Second Life Server hosts the same way next Tuesday.

SSPLOH region has changed visually this weekend via the map.

    image.png.e6975f668bc310644daa6dd11296df3e.png

Looks like a mix of homes - obv. 3 houseboats in NE. Wild guess time :) so maybe LOH is Linden Openplan Homes and this is a reveal region at an upcoming event of "openplan" versions of some existing themes. As HBs are already openplan, maybe 3 new HB styles?

I think it may be possible once Linden Homes' adoption rates have settled (everyone who wants a home gets one) they might offer it, as there are so many houses that are owned but not using a single prim on the property, but of course LL will charge a premium for it.  If each plot can hold 351 and only say 50% of the owned homes use any prims, that's a lot of prim availability left for people who really WANT to decorate their Linden Homes thoroughly.

I doubt LL would be so stupid as to do that. Home ownership is not static, and just because an owner hasn't currently used their home, they may in future. If LL were to have a higher LI offering, it would most likely be on dedicated regions where they could reduce the number of parcels so that every home would have the offered LI.

  7. I still think the far East will be the last theme and some sort of Asian theme. Far East/Asian adds a sort of congruency as west is American, the so-called "Chalet" area is faux-European.

The unbuilt Northern edges allow for expansion of the Trads/Vics/Logs/Stilts/Chalets themes. Exact needs will become clearer once remaining themes are unveiled and in-place.

Which leaves area south & south-east of the Stilts as most likely for next theme.

p.s. No, I have no idea why the Fantasy subcontinent disappears when one zooms way out.

It doesn't exist, it's just a figment of your imagination. You'll wake up and find it was all a dream 😉

Vespertine is selling these attractive decor items for $50 each - the rattan magazine holder is 1 LI and the lamp is 2 LI. Note that the demo model of the lamp doesn't 'work', and I see no script listed under Edit > Content, however the bulb itself does appear clickable.

The bulb on/off script is actually in the bulb - use edit linked. Probably only allows owner to operate.

I see we have restarts announced for the RC Channels,  at 6am on Wednesday. It's on the Grid Status.

Meanwhile, the Linden Lab mushroom farm is flourishing. If you got here, you probably saw the horrible new web page. I have words for it, which should not be used in p[olite company.

The GSP still says starting at the usual 7am for me. Which web page do you mean? I've obviously missed it (lucky me by the sounds of it)

  11. I get a TP disconnect almost every day, though sometimes can be lucky and get none for a couple of days. Whilst to/from a heavily loaded region does seem to be more likely to fail (one heavily loaded homestead seemed to fail approx. 1 in 3 times), some (apparently) lightly loaded regions fail too.

At least i can warn people i'm about to disconnect as I know how to spot them -- they are pretty consistent in their behaviour: I see a number of objects disappear, but the teleport progress bar has no message. Friends don't see you go offline, they just see the online message -- in same way i can tell when friends have had one of these TP disconnects as i just see the online message without the corresponding offline message.

Spell versions? What am I missing out on? Lol am I that out of the loop? 🤣

They're the open plan versions of the 4 existing houses:

    • Angelspell (version of Amberbrooke)
    • Moonspell (version of Mistbrooke)
    • Ragespell (version of Rosebrooke)
    • Steepspell (version of Stonebrooke)

They may still be out at the SL18B reveal region http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SLB Mesmerize/174/10/22

Architect have everything in store for 50L right now.

(Which is bad news when your home decor alt doubles as your flapper alt and is COMPELLED to buy anything vaguely period-appropriate. As if the last days of gacha hadn't hurt my bank balance enough.)

  14. Yes, Simply Shelby has great stuff :)

In this week's Happy Weekend sale are Fairy Wishing Trees: 9b4142acbcfc75ab6223ba6327eb2da0.jpg

Rezzed out (L to R) are the Purple, Pink, Autumn, Yellow and Aqua versions, there's also a Red & a Blue version available (no Fat pack though): 5b012f3105b951503a5d63969f7be2c0.jpg

I'm 2m tall, so those rezzed ones are about 4.5m in height

  15. I wonder if SSPNCR is the Next Community Rendezvous and SSPSCR the Subsequent Community Rendezvous. Maybe given the colouring Noir Community Rendezvous and Scarlet Community Rendezvous.

Barneys Fief is a clone of Patchwork/Tamash region, yet the Moles have modified it to finish off it's western edge and give it a coastline as mentioned above.... and just one region further west is the Hanshin region of Jeogeot ¬¬

    Coincidence? I think not ;)

Yep, clearly planned -- now all they would have to do is slot in a region adjacent to Willows Shire and Elfin Marbles to complete that part of the coast. That region would not be reachable from Hanshin as it is diagonal -- thus ensuring the only way in to Fantasseria remains south from Rigmarole.

My post earlier in this thread showed the clones.
