  1. "SL artist Kaiden Tray made this faithful recreation of the classic cinema location, complete with four free motel rooms (date night, anyone?), and the Bates mansion on the hill. Impressively, he made it from scratch, mainly using the recent TV show spinoff of Psycho for reference. " Read more on the blog.
  2. "When you blog, it’s tempting to think you are talking to the people ‘down there’. By that, I mean the people who press ‘like’ or who comment – and of course, that’s true. However, you’re also talking to people you don’t know are there. A bit like Truman, in the eponymous movie." Read more on the blog.
  3. "The Moles are now extending the log homes train track futher eastwards from SSPE1460 to SSPE1162. There are new signal points and two new victorian tunnels that have been built so far. Within the next few months the new railway will go up the east coast of the log homes continent with brand new train stations and more new areas to explore." Read more on the blog.
  4. "I’m exploring a double exposure of Yadleen, composer and musician in Second Life and Real Life. Yadleen is undoubtedly well known for her musical performances, but I want to focus the reader’s attention on her art." Read more on the blog.

  6. "two australian authors on the show today: cat sparks and james bradley, both dealing in their fiction with the climate crises [yes, the one that should have us most definitely a bit more concerned than most mainstream media reporting suggests, especially in regards to humans accelerating it and the impact it has on our as well as future generations …]" Read more on the blog.
  7. "As flooded landscapes seem to be getting a new momentum in Second Life, I decided to pay a visit to an already classic location fitting that category on SL’s grid: Ocho Tango Place. As the name suggests, the parcel, which shares a region with sculptor Mistero Hifeng’s store, is described as a venue dedicated to tango music and dance." Read more on the blog.

  10. "Are you hosting a party, wedding or other event at your venue? Music is the heart of every successful party. Without music, everyone would just be standing around looking at one another. Personally, I call that a visit, not a party. But interject music and you can have yourself a party for the ages!" Read more on the blog.
  11. "Just came back from shopping, pleasantly surprised that the movers had been ... very tidy folks, need to keep them in mind for when I move next (not that I can see another move on the cards in the near-ish future ... well, I can ... but what am I even thinking - haven't even unpacked yet and already pondering of flitting ...)" 13. "Yesterday I received some bad news. I mean, it's not world ending bad or even bad on the scale of what's happening in the world currently. It's just not news I wanted to read. It's no secret these pixels (Kirinyth) are not my first in Second Life. I've made a few attempts to retrieve my original 2007 avatar, however they have been unsuccessful. I jumped through so many hoops, provided more information than the tax office usually wants and it still wasn't enough to get her back." Read more on the blog.
  14. "This year’s Fantasy Fair marked the return to the grid of a name fondly remembered by many of us who roleplayed or simply enjoyed inhabiting historical and/or Gothic Victorian attire some years ago: Raven Pennyfeather of House of RFyre. Since then she has once again been steadily releasing beautiful clothing and accessories in her signature detailed style." Read more on the blog.
  15. Pictured: Poughkeepsie Each week, the Second Life Destination Guide editorial team reviews dozens of new locations and events worth exploring. With all those beautiful destinations to check out, we thought we’d highlight a few of the entries that stood out to the editorial team. Poughkeepsie An amazingly whimsical photography region with plenty to see and do. From date night, chilling by the fire, relaxing in the library, or taking on a game in the arcade (yes the games really work!) Visit in Second Life Garden Of Eden Whatever happened to the Garden of Eden? Adam and Eve returned and so did the serpent. Feel free to explore all of the areas of this photogenic region and take pics, dance the night away, or just enjoy the magic of the region while hanging out with your friends. This project is birthed by Eve, so that you can find your special place to cuddle or your favorite place to put your thoughts together. Visit in Second Life Global Warming Winter by Rachel Breaker Global Warming Winter acknowledges the obvious catastrophic global changes that are ongoing. Rachel expresses a realization of how absurd our dystopic future(s) really could be. Her built environment is a nod to simulated climates of outdoor waterparks. Not unlike the whimsically painted concrete and themed backdrops alluding to paradise within completely manmade terrain. In this installation, she critiques the materiality of simulated natural environments, a motif we may end up seeing more of as our myriad of climates progressively alter. Visit in Second Life Avilion Avilion is a medieval fantasy role play, combat, and arts land. On the weekend of September 18th to 20th, 2020, they will be celebrating their 14th Annual Medieval Harvest Festival. It is a full weekend of games, events, parties, surprises, and celebration of community in a magical autumn landscape that has consistently drawn crowds over its long life. All are welcome. Since they are a medieval community, they ask that visitors wear medieval clothing. Free outfits available at the gate. Visit in Second Life Club EFS Club EFS is the home of the Epic Failure Show hosted by Geerkil Ziskey and friends. Catering to furries, large enough for feral dragons, this outdoor club brings you the best from the '70s, '80s, and '90s with humor and great fun. If you are looking to stomp those paws to some great tunes and laugh to the constant failures of this broadcaster with more than 14 years of "experience" this club is for you.
