  1. Been shopping again........................y'know, working through that list............

First is my posh lace dress........then a skimpy yellow dress. A bit shorter than expected, but hey! Then black lace with boots, and my Jessica Rabbit hair, and finally a close up.........in case you forgot what I look like haha!9_9

  2. You can get wasp killer powder, which we've used a couple of times. It works straight away. One nest was in an air brick in the wall. We left it a long time and then took the grille off and donated the empty nest to the local school. If you've never seen a wasps nest they are amazing.

Our second encounter was in the bathroom expelair............not so good. The exit grille is high up so it needed a ladder and proper protective clothing. When the grille was removed and the powder squirted into the hole, we were ready to run.....................but it was an anti climax..........nothing much happened. It sorted the problem.

We occasionally get a Queen wasp in the loft over winter, and when they wake up, it can be a challenge in such an enclosed space..........:S

  3. I got this lace top a few days ago.......irresistable 9_9

But then I couldn't find anything to go with it. My white jeans were OK but not good enough. So another shopping spree followed, and this is the result.

Luckily the bra and pants fitted OK.....haha  A bit different to my Wonder Woman outfit.............

  4. If there's a lot of content in the box it takes time to download. It will only copy to your inventory after download is complete.  Before that you will see an error message. Is this the reason I wonder?

  5. Thankfully I don't have any experience of this before May this year and the tech talk goes right over my head.

I changed to a mesh body mainly because of the shoes.................9_9

I don't always demo but most stuff I buy works well. Longer dresses don't work so well and I've made mistakes.

I tend to avoid layering at the moment. Maybe that will change as I get more experience.

When I look back now at my system avi, what really hits me are the chubby hands. Then the feet and the tide mark at the join................

And the naked comparison, well that's embarrasing.......O.o

And I just love shopping. Anywhere. The biggest attraction in SL...........

Thanks so much - that's actually the "exit", so to speak.  It's just a texture on a prim, scripted to teleport you back to the main section of the parcel.  I added a bit of glow and a small amount of transparency to make it look a little more interesting.

It reminds me of a woodland walk in heavy mist. It's very atmospheric and given how you made it, also arty!:D

No, no they wouldn't and this is precisely where the "it's not a game" mentality actually has a negative impact on SL. New users are saying these things about Second Life because:

    • SL's new user experience is, and always has been, bad.
    • The SL user interface, no matter what viewer you use, is badly designed and laid out.
    • SL's interactivity and social features are ridiculously underdeveloped.
    • SL's presentation is extremely poor.

Hmm, you see I don't recognise this situation at all. I've never gamed on line................ so I had no expectations. What I found was therefore OK. Slow to rezz yes, but good fun to explore.

I soon saw it as a virtual chat room, and initially that was it for me. I'm still new (3 months) and my new user experience so far has been very good............O.o

I have no concept of how good it might be, but I'm happy with it as it is.............really.

I think what needs developing is a better road map for newbies because all newbies I meet when I'm in NCI Kuula ask the same thing..... "what is there to do here".............

Whenever I can, I like to have a quiet spot on my parcel that I can escape to, just to unwind.  Hadn't really put one together since my last rebuild of everything, so I finally quit procrastinating and got it done.  ^_^

You have a great looking Avi Donovan. What really draws my eyes is the mystical tunnel of trees through the arch. That is lovely!9_9

Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats

“The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
    It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, or George or Bill Bailey -
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter -
But all of them sensible everyday names.
But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum -
Names that never belong to more than one cat.
But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
    And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover -
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
    His ineffable effable
    Effanineffable
    Deep and inscrutable singular Name.”

  10. And so to more normal attire.............................

The first image is a slightly retro outfit, but in my favourite colour.

The black outfit is quite formal for me, just experimenting...........................

The third image is such a lovely jumper, paired with my orange/peach jeans I think it looks really good!

The fourth outfit is another clubbing one, a red version of a pink one I've saved, but with new shoes!!!

  11. A few more oufits. I've just reached 25 favourites, if you can have 25 favourites..............9_9

Here's the disc dress which is derived from a Paco Rabanne design . The dress comes with a colour HUD. Search the Marketplace for Disk Dress.........

    From Vogue.............

When he was 30, Rabanne presented his first fashion designs. Two years later, in 1966, he had his breakout show: “Twelve Unwearable Dresses in Contemporary Materials.” Presenting at the George V, Rabanne broke utterly with convention, using music (which wasn’t done at the time) and including models of color in his casting. Arguing that “sewing is a bondage,” he made dresses not of fabric, but of earth-friendly paper and other non-fashion materials like plastic and metal, which were pieced together with wire and glue. (He’d later sell DIY kits consisting of discs, rings, and pliers.) Rabanne’s designs existed in the space between art and fashion, and they were irresistible. The collector Peggy Guggenheim was one of his first customers, and the yé-yé star Françoise Hardy became a fan. This season Dossena referenced a metal-link jumpsuit Hardy wore in 1968, the same year that Brigitte Bardot sported Rabanne in the music video for her song “Contact” (written by Serge Gainsbourg) and Jane Fonda modeled the designer’s futuristic costumes in Barbarella.
