    What Inspires Your Style and Fashion in SL?

    Constraint doesn't work well either for me...….or my alt.  I did try for Salty, I really did! I tried and tried not to...….. but how can you look at someone you've made, and see them look terrible.

    No, after a few days I cracked, and although, yeah it costs a few Lindens, the fun and pleasure from doing that is way beyond the cost. I did resolve to keep her outfits small in number and I'm doing OK with that. She only has 30.

    My new Alt is in build and I just have to exercise constraint and restraint before jumping into a mesh head and shape and skins.....haha! She won't be dark and moody because I just can't do that and I can't out-Neph Neph!

    A lovely story Sara, and I'm very envious of your childhood!!! There's no doubt that SL is influencing me in RL, and in a strange way it's helping me to find myself. Although my SL self started out as my RL clone, I'm evolving constantly.

    And setting up Salty, my alt,  has allowed me to experiment more with fashion styles I would never have considered, but now am comfortable with! And in the last few days I've fired up my second Alt, having been led astray by various people and I'm forcing myself to experiment further with style although deviating from what I love is the hardest thing! My new sister will be revealed when she's ready. 😊

    No I never get bored, although I'm prepared to give it time I guess.

    But my SL experience would be enhanced if I qualify for, and could be accepted into the aristocrat group? How do I contact the top dog?

    It sounds fun. Especially if we get to wear posh outfits, and even less time to get bored............

    I just can't not say this...….(as the girl next door), this look is the perfect boy next door look, and that narrows down who is behind the avi.

    What a good subject!!!! My first paid avi I dressed in the style of a girl in college who came in dressed for clubbing in a short flounce dress. I admired her style and confidence from afar. I stayed like that a long time. 

    My RL appearance....small, blonde, freckled olive skin, green eyes is my SL appearance. But my RL hair is shorter, thicker and messier!!!

    Today I'm in the city in black jeans, black trainers, black top, black sweater, black jacket....... not quite a Skell/Orwar look but on the way.

    Otherwise most of my RL stuff is red/orange/yellow, which is also the case in SL. I didn't plan a style, it just evolved as I turned mesh and I adopted pink in SL.

    I don't follow fashion, I do my own thing, but my overall theme is '90s clubbing, and so lots of my dresses are short, and tight. Not what I'd do (much) in RL, but feelgood in SL.

    I eventually got into jeans here and then tops and jackets. Most of my in world shopping is in casual gear. I don't do skirts much. They don't suit me and especially flared A line. I try them and I dont like them on me.

    So my style is basically the perfect version of me living in a perfect world.

    The SuperHero thing came late. I associate strongly with WonderWoman, having grown up in an environment without guys, and having to struggle to get through, and wearing the costume gives me a huge lift. Finding Hawk gave me a similar feeling.

    And yeah, I'm also influenced by the Angel pics on here. Who wouldn't be? Some of the outfits are truly amazing and I have no problem pinching ideas!!

    I know that the 'Barbie' look isn't to everyones taste, but hey, I have a lot of fun as me here and it's who I am in SL.

    I think I've said enough for now, but thanks Scylla for starting this off! :)

    Ps. I,ve got that famous Paco Rabanne 60s disc dress. I'll post a photo of it later.

    Only Lil gets any real inworld time and she constantly steals money from the others.  Many of the Premium accounts do have freebie/cheapie mesh bodies, but that is about as far as outfitting any of them has gone.  I only made sure to get them the mesh bodies because they were free or super cheap and that way they at last have one in case I ever decide to give them more of an inworld life.

    I'm convinced...…...It's only taken 24 hours to get me thinking that Avi3/Sister3 is the best idea I've had so far, ever...…...

    And so the fun will begin. She'll embody everything I've learned so far, and will be a goddess...….haha!!!

    It might take a week or two to get the funding though hehe! :)

    Then there will be three of us to torment SL.

    And just now I fired her up for the first time and took her home...……...hehehe!

    I've come to the sad conclusion that my laptop just  cannot handle ultra or even high graphics settings. It has been locking up lately whenever I try to change to high for photos. Maybe a new laptop is in my future.

    I got one for Christmas and it's a big improvement, but it doesn't perform well on ultra. That brings in lag.

    These images are also at Blue Water Cove. I went with Salty on lifeguard duties and we spent a couple of hours by the lifeguard hut just chatting to people.

    This lady was interested in my relationship with Salty, and "got it" right away. She has two alt sisters, and brought them over although running three was a bit too much for her IT!

    I didn't manage to get a good shot of four of us, because she's topless, so I had to be careful for a forum image. She's the second person I've met in world with two Alts, and y'know what? I'm tempted to make just one more Alt, but this time anonymously. *evil grin*. I was given a list of skins and shapes by my other muti-alt friend, and some of these girls are fabulous looking an a very grown up supermodel way.  I think that might be a whole lot of fun...……..

    Anyway, I also met the sim owner and he was very nice, so all in all, it's become one of my favourite beach sims, even though up to now I haven't spent much time on beaches!! :)

    This is Tali and I at Blue Water Cove Nude Beach yesterday. I think it came out quite arty!!!!!

    I was taken to this sim by an old gf last week, and it's a lovely place to hang out (haha!). I'm not into nude bathing, but it's fun to hang out and chat with visitors. :)

    The second image is on the beach there and gives a good impression of how nice it's made up.

    Finally I tried an underwater arty shot...…. *coughs*…….. ;)

    This is Lady America. You can guess where from.

    The thing is, the boots were just too glitzy, so I changed them for a pair from my inventory. I kept the white hair and bob style from Hawk Girl, but it's a different hair.

    Taken on the new stage at Lutz.... ;)
