sorry i dont really check the forums. @Seba Serpente im being left in the dark by LL about any SLRR related plans and issues. I made a ticket but Izzy Linden wont tell me anything. Both Patch and Squeaky been ignoring my IM's so i have no idea what is going on and i dont like being ignored and left in the dark when it comes to the SLRR.
Seeing the pics of SSPE185 does bring hope for a rail network in bellesaria. I did suggest a LRT like network like what Lionheart estates has on their continent.
Im going to log back into SL now and go take a look at SSPE, thnx seb huggies -
one does not look for Guy Linden as he is everywhere and he is nowhere on the grid. Only Guy Linden only seeks those worthy of his attention.
in other words. he is always busy helping with mainland and other in world related tickets.

No one gets into Mainland rentals for the profits.

i dont think the demand for mainland will decrease, if anything i noticed its been going up now around sansara and jeogeot since they opened up the new home sims.

gas stations for those driving in vehicles that requires gas to keep moving like the GFS system from NTBI

HUD
touch_end(integer nd) { llSay(-123456, "vape"); }
Vape
listen(integer channel, string name, key id, string msg) { if (channel == -123456) { if (msg == "vape") { // produce smoke particles here } } }
just a rough idea for ya. Not to hard to do, i use sublime text 3 with the lsl addon package and sometimes refer to lsl wiki at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:LSL_Functions

<?php $store = $_GET['store']; file_put_contents('storestatus.txt', $store); ?>
then just grab with file_get_contents
<?php $storestatus = file_get_contents('storestatus.txt'); ?> <div id="whatever">Store is <B><?php echo $storestatus; ?></B></div>
-
string url = "your website url here"; string storestatus = "closed"; default { touch_end(integer n) { if (llDetectedKey(0) == llGetOwner()) { if (storestatus == "closed") { storestatus = "open"; }else{ storestatus = "closed"; } llHTTPRequest(url+"?store="+storestatus, [HTTP_METHOD, "GET"], ""); } } }
simple quick way of doing it.

i think i know what the OP is on about.
SL doesnt use LetsEncrypt yet and the urls we get using llRequestSecureURL dont have a valid SSL certificate yet. Yes i hate using a HTTP url to send data to a prim because that runs the risk of a middle man attack but its something we lsl developers gotta work with right now while LL still work on moving SL to the cloud.
LL does know about lets encrypt and they may use it after the move.
Least i hope they do since its free SSL certificate.- 1

@Selene Gregoire While that may be true on a more widespread basis in the States, California has some very specific laws that outline the exceptions to unlawful gambling-esque machines. Page two in my first link explains it a bit more under “Narrowly Defined Amusement Devices Exceptions”.
Additionally, your wiki link points out that “Skill cranes in single-play mode (where the player has only one chance per credit to try for a prize) were found by the Ontario Court of Appeal to be essentially games of chance, and therefore prohibited except at fairs or exhibitions, where they are covered by an exemption.[8]” So there is still speculation on the perameters of legality from one state (or jurisdiction) to the next.
dude im in ontario too, while in SL we have to obid by california laws since that is where LL is based in.
What could be legal for us might be illegal in california therefor illegal in SL. -

I wondered how they did that, it feels like magic riding them
east river uses the TBM tram system, available on the marketplace and in world, it uses a special kind of script, the TBM trams can work on the SLRR if you change the description of the tram from ==TBM== Guide to just Guide but its mostly designed to run on its own track. It also comes with its own special prims that when the tram detects the prim, it gets data, or commands, from that special prim that tells the tram of what to do like teleport to a height of 4000 meters or stop and open the left side doors.
Second Norway uses the same system as East River.- 1

I'm pretty baffled now about what's in this release. I understand that it's what rolled to the RCs last week, but now I'm not 100% sure that the UDP "depreciation" made it in service.
But I'm actually more befuddled by whatever happened to the OS upgrade that was announced last week for the Main channel but the release notes linked from that post don't include the cited release number (19.03.15.525315). So now I'm not sure the OS upgrade went into service last week after all.

im actually starting to think the teleport and sim crossing issues we been having is the result of them pulling away from UDP fetching.
It all just feels like a UDP/HTTP issue. -

If a road was built from Black to Platinum only then it would make sense to make a long bridge (about three regions in length) from Platinum, diagonally to south east to Jacinto.
The road would be possible, there is Linden owned land on the way. New road would be a bit over 1 kilometer long and the bridge a bit less than 1 kilometer.
i second this idea.
just checked myself and it can work. from http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Black/96/27/106 to patch's rental sims is all abandoned land, LL could totally do a new road and auction off all the surrounding land.

To disable sky rendering, activate the Advanced menu in the top menu bar with CTRL+ALT+D.
Advanced -> Rendering Types -> Untick sky (or use shortcut CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+6 to toggle sky rendering on & off).
With sky rendering disabled (you will just see black sky), teleport about using landmarks or the world map - do you still get disconnected?i disabled the sky and testing on foot. regardless if this helps or not think im going to keep the sky disabled from now on, the black skybox reminds me that sl is still just a virtual world.
Teleported to afew places using my fav bar and seems to be fine now. i noticed that the problems usually happens during sl day so ill keep testing. also ran from Hugues down to the bottom of Satori along route 8, no issues now.
Was night an hour ago when i did the test with no issues, now its day, sky still disabled and i crashed, logged back in to the spot i last logged in at.
So i think sl day is what is causing the issue related to EEP since this never happened till EEP got rolled out to the main channels. -
kinda feel sorry for the guy, from what i can tell, sounds like he has some serious mental illness that he really should get help for from his/her doctor.

in all fairness SL16B is just weeks away. and never take what patch says as official, i found his "weeks" usually means "i dont know when". like im still waiting for him and the moles to revamp the SLRR that he said was coming at the last town hall meeting.

i had the same issue till i made a ticket about the issue, now i got all support types that a free account gets.
So i say make a ticket about the issue with making a ticket. i know how much of a oxymoron that sounded but it seem to have worked for me. -
April 4 2019 and im still having TP issues, logged in and tried to tp to another sim, got disconnected after being stuck on the tp screen for a minute.
Sorry just read Whirly, my issue was from a main channel to LeTigre but LeTigre to LeTigre sim crossing seems fine again.I think this calls for a SOT (Save Our TP's) to the Linden gods.

VRC and RTCSL help look after the SLRR and help residents have fun on the tracks. My group which is RTCSL helps new residents discover the main SLRR network of 100 sims, teach others how to operate trains, help with train builders on how the SLRR works so that their trains will work on the network, check all 140 sims if they are online or not so railroaders know what sims to avoid when riding the tracks. Put in tickets when a switch is broken. Basically i do alot on the SLRR under the RTCSL name.
I really dont know what the VRC has been doing lately, they been very quiet for the past year.
btw the extra 40 is other railroads like bay city, Zeny zen railroad, ONSR, the 4 premium railroad sims, GSLR abd the old WARR line since Mike Linden laid down some tracks up to Grote
