Hi I'm looking for a list of any stores that sells Asian/kawaii skins similar to this (not just looking for this one but if anyone can identify it that would be great too): This style of skins are seen very often in product ads (a lot of stores exclusively use this style of skins), and I assume there is either one store churning out skins like this or a few with very similar styles. I know in the pre-Bento days stores like VCO or TSG used to have static mesh heads with similar styles. Not looking for anime heads, or "Asian" skins from stores that generally focus on a more Caucasian/western look (e.g. Laq or Belleza). Designers of this style are usually Chinese, Japanese or Korean I'm guessing. Thanks.

Upset at people peeking at your projects at a public sandbox, LOL. And upset at people bumping you in a game... your friend reminds me of those people who cry "omg hacker ban this stupid n00b" in MMOs when they get PK'd. Maybe tell your friend to rent his own place or buy his own land if he wants privacy? This is like complaining people have no right to sit within 5ft of you in a park. If you're too cheap to own a private place, you don't deserve the perks of privacy, common sense.

Is it safe to buy stuff on marketplace from people who pretty much quit SL a year ago? I don't care about support since it's just clothing. Can I assume if their listing is still on marketplace, it'll get delivered and not get some bull***** like "oops sorry we're not able to find this seller's item box inworld anymore, tough luck on the $ you wasted"?

Yeah 80% of my looks involve "alternative" fashion, specifically kawaii or goth. Tbh I hardly think they're "alternative" fashion in SL anymore since they're so prevalent, really easy to find clothes for them, and can easily pull off amazing looks.

There is more bigotry in this thread than r/unpopularopinion. No one gives a ***** about what you wear unless you're his/her gf/bf/mom/dad/son/daughter. If one day I feel like wearing cute lolita flat-chested Jap school uniforms I'll wear it. If another day I feel like dressing like a ***** with size 100 boob implants and a micro bikini, I'll do that too. It's none of your *****ing business. All these arguments about "oh too many revealing outfits" is pure bull*****. It's just bigots who are too narrow minded to wade through any listing on marketplace they don't like. If you actually stopped and take a look at marketplace listings or even instore, I'm willing to bet anything at least 50% of any quality item sold does NOT make you look like someone who just had her boobs/butts done. That's not enough choice for you? Also, learn basic concepts of supply and demand. I'm tired of hearing bull***** like "why are there no heels made for mid-height feet, high feet make you look *****ty" or "why is cleavage showing in every outfit". 95%+ of girls wear high feet, and want to show SOME skin in their outfits, what do you think creators are gonna cater to? If you think all girls should either wear flats or 2-inch heels then maybe you should go don a hijab and play Virtual Islam Simulator.

Adoness only has short styles, and I think their stuff resemble prim (pre-mesh) strands. Vanity seems to mostly carry dreadlocks, and with no disrespect intended, won't work with the looks I'm creating. I'll check out Tableau. I have some of their stuff from about a year ago but their mesh and texture quality isn't really on par with likes of Truth, Magika or Doux.

5000L for a body where the creator is so *****ing paranoid that s/he has to lock down any sort of customization behind some web server. LOL. I mean I thought Maitreya body was already locked down enough and designed for complete dummies with 0 knowledge on editing stuff in SL, this thing makes Maitreya look like an open source library. How about add a password to wear the body as well? Or a monthly subscription system where you have to pay the creator 500L per month for the right to wear it? Or maybe only allowing you to apply TMP skins? I mean Blizzard games has less DRM lockdown than this thing, just saying. You can pretty much say goodbye to any kind of customization when you buy this thing unless you feel like pulling your hair out or spending an arm and leg every time you want to look different.

I'm looking for some really unique/fantasy looking hairs, stuff you can't find at places everyone shops at like Truth, Exile, Magika, etc. Yes they're high quality, however the problem is 99% of their hair are for "girl next door" kind of everyday looks, you have your truckload of one sided long hairs, two sided long hairs, updos, and bobs, and each one is pretty much 95% identical. I'm looking for more unique hairstyles that fit your fantasy/goth/lolita looks. Give me outrageous looking ponytails and bangs, super long hair, anime hair, twin pigtails that resemble what Harley Quinn or Misa Amane would wear, stuff like that. Done hours of research on marketplace but haven't found much results. Taketomi - great stuff, too bad their store is shut down or something (no new hairs for months and inworld store closed) LCKY - one of my favourite hair shops in SL and pretty much exactly the type of stuff I'm looking for, again no new hair for the last year or so Spellbound - same, nothing new for a long time MOON - same, nothing new for a long time Wasabi - they have a few unique looking hairs and I already have most of them RA - have a few good ones but not a fan of their recent stuff Ayashi - really dislike the textures as it looks way too 2D/plastic

All of a sudden I'm unable to log in, always stuck at "requesting region capabilities, attempt 1/2/3". Then of course it throws "we're having trouble connecting" error message. - The only antivirus I have active is Windows Defender (windows 10). No I'm not using Norton - There's nothing wrong with my connection, speed is normal (speedtest.net) and I can surf web just fine - Wifi at full signal strength - I'm at home not at work, so it's not because someone blocked the SL port Happens on both Firestorm and linden viewer. What else can I do to fix this? Edit: Yes I've tried logging into multiple regions, including Smith/Pooley, nothing works.

If I go to youtube homepage, my friend can see that. But if I select a video to play, she is still stuck on youtube homepage. So you can technically surf the net, but for some reason can't play any media? So how do you watch movies together then? I'm pretty sure that's possible?

How do I make these web-browser TV's in SL server-side so I can surf the net (eg Youtube) with friends? It defeats the purpose if I'm the only one who sees anything on the screen and everyone else sees a blank screen... I mean I can just do that on my regular browser 10x faster.

Joint position is never checked. I literally tried editing an already rigged .dae file (from a template) by importing it, immediately exporting as default collada without any editing whatsoever -> SL/opensim rigged mesh preset. It also came out as a distorted mess similar to this (pic from another person's thread):  So obviously Blender is somehow messing up my rigging, either in the import or export process.

How do I export rigged mesh in Blender? I'm not using Avastar. I have an outfit rigged and ready for export. File -> export -> collada, then under armature options I select "export for SL/opensim", then in beta grid preview window the mesh is a complete distorted mess. I also tried checking "selection only" and "include armature", but that didn't work either.

Does anyone have any tips on creating a specular map for mesh bodies like Maitreya, to produce a dynamic oily/glossy effect? I've seen it on a few people, and skin creators like Egozy provide it in their appliers, and looks pretty cool. Is there a template? I have the Maitreya dev kit with the UV maps, as well as a few skin kits. Though I don't think I need an actual skin for it? It's just gloss that goes over any skin.
