  1. I LOVE this look! Hair, outfit, everything!
  2. I’m thinking it’s a good idea to mix it up. Maybe some issues with the black background and some not, depending on the theme each month and the editors preference for that theme.
  3. And it still needs a name so start submitting ideas and we’ll start compiling them to choose one, vote on one, or however Orwar decides he wants to go with that.
  4. Exactly my thought. My original intention and post was to let Orwar know if he went ahead with the idea to let him know I’d be there to help with anything needed. I agree he needs to be the main focus of this and just know we are all here to help him where and when it’s needed. Or at least some of us... So @Orwar I have two questions. When is the deadline for the April theme as far as picture posting and is there a maximum amount of pics for each individual to submit for each magazine? I think I saw two mentioned?
  5. UGH deadlines... I totally understand! RL is a busy time for me as well over the next 6 weeks with RL work and this isn't meant to put pressure or added work on anyone. I say do what you can when you can and everything else will get figured out as we go and hopefully we'll have lots of people chiming in to help with any and all aspects of this. No role has to belong to only one person, I'd say if anyone else has an idea for a cover or is able to design one they can just say so and we go with it.
  6. Sara, I'm so sorry if you originally felt left out, that was by no means my intention, or my intention for anyone to feel left out. You are, as I've said in another post in response to someone, by far the biggest piece of this. If it weren't for your bunny poster the thought might not have ever came to mind. Orwar had a thought and threw it out there, i saw it and went with it (and as i stated then I got ahead of myself, happens often), but again in no way did i mean for anyone at all to feel left out. This is a project of the entire forum and i would welcome anyone to not only post their pics but help do the work for it and provide input and suggestions. I apologize to anyone who felt left out in the original post. With that being said if anyone has any expertise they'd like to bring forth please do!
  7. I agree to a point. It's not meant to be big or too time consuming on anyone, it's meant to be fun for the most part. We do however, have to have certain roles in order to make it happen is all, but yes i do agree, just snap away and drop onto a page, whether they're individual pages, whether someone makes collages with them, etc., but definitely more fun than work, and nothing has to be perfect. Job titles aren't actual job titles but more like tasks in making this happen.
  8. So here are my thoughts on duties which we'll give titles to for fun. Obviously nothing is official but we need to get this started. Feel free to provide any suggestions, additions, or input you may have. This is just a suggestion to get us started in the process so that we know who is doing what to get us going. So from reading this thread and the comments my thoughts are something like this... Orwar: Editor-In-Chief (Duties include bossing everyone around; overseeing the artistic aspects of the magazine and deciding on the layout each month with the assistance of his Art Director; makes all final decisions) Zenn: Deputy Editor-In-Chief (Duties include handling paperwork and any other thing the Chief Editor requests; helping to oversee and organize all submissions for the magazine) Kotelle: Managing Editor (Duties include creating and enforcing deadlines; help to organize polls and gather ideas for themes; and various other duties as they come up) Sara: Art Director/Editor (Duties include overseeing the artistic aspects of the magazine together with the Editor-In-Chief, including the layout) Angela String: Designer (Duties include designing (or finding a designer) for the front page of each addition; and any other insert she may be asked to design for an addition) Everyone else: (Duties include posting pictures for each months theme and having fun doing so!) - We can add more titles and duties if needed or suggested! And go....

I absolutely agree and my next question to Orwar was going to be if he had that discussion with Sara since i saw a post somewhere within the few threads out there about this where he referenced her making said upcoming "collages" and such. Not sure if she yet agreed to do it, but if so she is the biggest part of this without a doubt! Some will have actual work to do in getting this magazine together each month, some won't, but i think ownership will belong to anyone and everyone that participates with ideas and photos.

  12. I’ll get at you as soon as I can. I’m at work now and then I come back for a night meeting as it’s budget season around here so lots of extra night meetings. I will though add you inworld so we can converse both here and there as needed and get started on putting rules, timelines, expectations, etc together. In the meantime I’d say we welcome all suggestions and input from everyone to be considered and added to said list.
  13. Great point Skell! Obviously there’s still so much to iron out. Orwar, I think you should be editor in Chief and I second after you (whatever that title may be) since we (in my eyes) decided to start this. We can start conversing more and come up with timelines and such and list everything out on paper to share with everyone then on what’s expected, with timelines and such. Any opposition to this?

Maybe I’m not understanding this correctly, but is 1 week (after 3 weeks of posting pics) enough for the editor or publisher enough time to get everything put together and out for the 1st of each month for that months edition? I feel like 3 weeks of posting (the easy part) is too much and 1 week of editing and putting the magazine together to release the 1st of each month isn’t enough. Maybe more like 2 and 2? (I felt like chuck woolery right there). Idk, maybe I’m wrong.
  16. I don’t mind the Flickr thing myself, but let’s remember what this is all about. It’s a virtual magazine for inworld and whether or not it hits Flickr doesn’t matter to me. We have our own Flickr accounts and even SL groups there where these photos can be uploaded. Let’s concentrate mainly on the forum and the magazine!
