How much VRAM did your GT520 have? I found one, but has 1 GB DDR3 VRAM

Jaylinbridges, my GT73O DOES have a fan on it. I'm leaning toward the card getting too warm causing the issue, as I installed Singularity, and was able to stay online 6 hours before it froze and crashed. Will be looking into this My old 64 bit Win 7 machine has 8 gigs RAM, never crashes. I'll keep plugging away hopefully solve it Thanks everyone

Interesting, yet my older Windows 7 machine that I use all the time, with onboard Intel graphics . 80 GB hard drive and 8 GB RAM runs SL just fine

I am on the latest Firestorm viewer, on a Windows 10 PC. My PC is within the specs for running SL. What happens is, after about 2 hours online, it will freeze, then crash. Has anyone else experienced this, what can I do, to resolve it

It did for me too, but I still freeze and crash after about 2 hours on Firestorm . My computer is within the specs needed for SL

Where is this listed in version 6.4.13.63251? All I found was transparent water under graphics

Just thought I would update on my strange Firestorm issue: I turned off ALM and set performance at Mid. Logged on to SL and was able to stay online at a busy sim for just short of 2 hours before it did the freezing and crashing. Draw is @ 32m and LOD is @ 2. All other shaders ( transparent water, bump mapping & shiny,local lights, basic and atmospheric shaders) are still checked. Also ran a performance check on my GPU while on SL yesterday (Sep 9th) and was using 540 MB vram (0.54 GB) ;load on the GPU was 13%. GPU temp was 51*C.

I ran my GPU monitor while running Firestorm today, GPU temperatures ran between 51 and 54 degrees Celcius, and I was using 540 MB, or 0.54 GB of vram, and GPU load was 13%. Last time I went to a busy sim I was able to stay just short of 2 hours before crashing. Under shaders, I have ALM unchecked, all other shaders are still checked

I have a chance to buy an Asus Gaming laptop G72GX, Would this be a good one to use for Second Life?

Myself, and a few others, have been on Firestorm (we're not all on same version I'm sure) , when it would just freeze, then it would start flashing rapidly, have to relog to get it fixed

Yep, pretty much what happens to me, I was in a couple sims, my frame rates were over 35, but after a while viewer would freeze, then whole screen went dark and then back to the Windows 10 screensaver. I know it's not a card issue as it doesn't affect anything else I do in SL or on my PC. Does not happen when I am in my home sim. Thanks for the info on turning off ALM, I will do that next time I am on my Win 10 machine. Any other things I should turn off?? The Firestorm I have is 6.4.12 62831

I have the latest Firestorm viewer, and the last 2 times I've been in certain sims, the viewer freezes, screen goes black and it kicks me off. I asked some friends and they have noticed the same thing. What is going on?

I am running the latest Firestorm viewer, and there is a setting called "atmospheric shaders" What is this, and do I absolutely need it?? Would like help with this if possible. Feel free to contact me inworld

An update: She was able to get her normal avi and all inventory back on the SL viewer. So am thinking her Firestorm got corrupted somehow. **UPDATE** She now has problem with SL viewer not responding and the viewer flashes on and off in certain spots in our house. An update, she cleared her inventory cache and router reset. All her folders are back but she is still just an orange cloud.

She said yes, that her inventory shows in the LL(SL) viewer, but she cannot put her avi on as her and I show as orange clouds. Who would she contact inworld, is there a specific person?

My partner is having some issues: in firestorm viewer, a lot of her inventory is missing, she was running 6.4.12.62831. In the SL viewer, she sees herself, and I as orange clouds, plus she cannot put her avi back on. What should she do, or what could the issue be? Everything was fine this Tuesday, Jan 26,2021
