  1. LOL this is like my imaginary dream Victorian house site, on the coast with sandy beach and also a green yard and by a river and views of railroad and mole sounds of birds, water, crickets...and...secluded, yet open feeling ha ha. It probably doesn't exist but it is fun to click and look and in the meantime I am happy with my current house(s) I forgot a frog pond!! Gotta have one of those. Going out to vote now, hope my dream Victorian does not appear while I am gone ! Also...Camper just appeared and disappeared on Land Page, nothing else
  2. OK I will tie down my clicking finger, hope someone gets it and loves it!
  3. Got another Buttermore, in a very familiar location lol. Sure I've had this before. Will release in 2 minutes...4:05 pm
  4. I looked up from deck building and a Victorian was sitting there so CLICK; will be releasing a Buttermore home at 1230 pm
  5. Last week I scouted around the coastal edges of the new Victorian regions, and my gut feeling is that the fantastic abandons in the older regions are going to be a better bet than the new releases, as far as getting a water location goes. I'm not a "cliff" person, and the new homes that were down at sea/bay level often had houseboats close by. Disclaimer: I will probably still click sometimes when the new releases happen
  6. About to release a Victorian in Beneline after another curiosity click http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Beneline/172/128/37 by a little park and bitty pond will release at 3:40 pm
  7. Released a Vic in Darnleigh http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Darnleigh/132/232/33 it is in the middle now 10:27 am was caught and released, still in the pool not showing on Land Page yet
  8. In SL I like to have the windows open, it helps to hear the wonderful mole provided sounds of birds, crickets, lapping waves etc. (or...at least it does in my imagination lol). IRL, I like to have windows open when the weather cooperates, plus have a whole house fan in the attic to suck fresh air into the house and expel the stale air through the attic, which is awesome!
  9. I really like this for the windows where closed feels too confined and dark and open feels too open I have bought a couple of mesh levolor style blinds but usually wind up not using them because of the Li and because they tend to "crumple" fast with LOD, I have the same problem with most wicker baskets. These textures would solve both problems. Thanks! (runs to Marketplace)
  10. I did not know that mole provided texture change topiary was a thing! The house looks beautiful, I'm trying to hold fast with my one main riverfront traditional in Drawmi, really appreciate everyone posting their abandons here for a heads up
  11. Have seen a Vic go by twice recently, and there is an abandoned houseboat in Cheddar Bay waiting to enter the Land Page (skinny lot with neighbors on either side).
  12. Queens Arch (probably) going by again, I put the houses in my Picks before I abandon, so I can see from the landmark when they are in maintenance and when someone owns it, and if it "sticks" with an owner. Then after 24 hours I delete the pick That way I don't have to hang around the house watching to see if it is taken, that helps cut down on the lag during new region releases.
  13. It's my turn now!! Will be sending it back soon, clicker beware !
  14. I keep seeing a Traditional pop up and wonder if it is LittleMe's one the Otisburg one being passed around
  15. In the Lab Gab Patch said when they DO release the log homes, it will be in a big batch, so having an alt with 5 clean tries is a good plan,, in case you want to go back and try again for another spot. There were so many people trying for homes during the multi-region release of the Victorians that it hung the server giving an Unknown error message and Patch asked that we hold off abandoning until they got it back up and running
  16. All 4 types on Land Page, I dont see anything new on the map for Victorian releases though (no Linden Homes)
  17. About to release a peaceful Victorian in Pickford that backs to a little pond with some weeping willows http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Pickford/69/158/34 will release at 635 pm
  18. When I went to the Bellisseria Demo houses, the first thing I flipped over was the Madpea Spring Fountain (I have house rabbits in real life). Also was super inspired by the gardens with special corners with fountains or statues. Here is my new little garden corner overlooking the river, with BUNNIES! The rest of the house is still pretty empty, but this corner rocks.
  19. I find I keep coming back to the traditionals, probably because I grew up in a suburban ranch house and live in one now (come to SL where you can live your dream life anywhere annnnd...pick a house just like RL lol). Plus the traditionals are so versatile, with all the add ons. I recently had a Winchester with a nice view from the second floor and put the kitchen and living room upstairs with the deck, and turned the window seat closets (add on) into kitchen pantry and laundry closet which was super fun. My favorite home is a coastal Victorian (got lucky after trying for months!!); the mole landscaping and especially their water and wildlife sounds create a truly immersive beach experience. In general, the Victorians are a little too big for me and can feel too formal, I've settled on the Doyle model and am decorating it "casual lived in beachy" with dingy white, light woods and petrol blue and am loving it!
  20. The place I got when Thunderhead first released was beautiful, on top of a hill bordering Medicine Hat, cliff and forest in back, view of the treetops in all directions...it was tempting but I decided not to keep it because yesterday morning landed a fabulous traditional parcel in Drawmi on the river, like a camper but with all the prims Best wishes for your new forest home!
  21. If it is anything like the last reveal, there is a real danger of being trampled when it opens
