  1. THat´s a great video as usual Gaia. I see you write in your site that you can do that with blender 2.5 and 2.6 I´ve heard that both of those versions don´t export joints... I tried and they actually dont. Do you have any trick by chance? Thanks!   2. No. you can not convert a mesh into a sculpt map. The problem your friend is having mey be caused by many things... _number of triangles (you can´t go beyond 60K if I´m not wrong), _bad exporting from the 3d soft _SL bugs (not rare at all ) and so on... if you could be a little bit more specific it will be easier to determinate the cause.
  3. what 3d program do you use? .dae is a mesh file, it doesn´t use a color map like prims if that´s what you are asking. Please be more specific regarding your used soft and I´m sure you´ll get the help you need from this forum.
  4. Can I add the Bumpiness issue? Bumpiness doesn´t show in worn rigged meshes. it DOES work with the same mesh rezzed or a worn non rigged mesh. strange isn´t it? already a couple of weeks since that started.
  5. I get help all the time from this forum so I wanted to share this little "discovery". I had this mesh that looked good in blender but whenever I tried to upload it to SL some parts where invisible. It wasn´t either a normals nor a skin weight problem. Actually if I separated the mesh into little pìeces the problem solved (but of course I needed the mesh in one part). If you ever have that problem select the mesh, export it as .ply and re import it. Now when you export it as .dae SL will show it just fine Just remember to do this before the weight skin step, since that data will be lost. I hope someone can use this information (probably someone have a better solution and I wouldn´t mind to read it :) Cheers.
  6. Thanks for your reply Lyra. I´ve tried uninstalling, clening cache (ccleaner) and rebooting... no luck. The strange thing is that with another account I have no problems, so i knew it wasn´t a viewer problem. I submitted a support case, but I don´t expect much help from there since I had to place it under "abuse appeal" and that was the closest case type. Thanks again.
  7. Hi... I´m having a some problems with my account. I know they are only with this account since I use another one. I´ve tried with multiple viewers with no results. The thing is I wanted to contact support, but the options are useless for me. Here´s a list of my problems: _I can not see bumpiness in worn meshes (I see the bumpiness when the mesh is rezzed but not when I wear it (this happens in agni and aditi) _When i log in aditi I start in a defaul location, it never recalls my last location. _I can´t rez or wear any mesh in aditi. _I changed my password and lost all the money (50 k L$) I had in aditi. This issues started about a week ago without having changed the viewer or doing anything extraordinary. I tried different versions of V2, phoenix and firestorm, all with the same negative results. As I said before, except for the bumpiness thing the other things does not happen in another account I have. I´d like to submit a ticket with these problems but the options in contact support are very limited, every category I´d choose would be wrong. I really don´t know what to do and I need desperately to resume my work in SL, thanks.
  8. THanks for the reply Aquila... now at least I know it´s my problem. Ths strange thing is that I have the same V2 version, and also tried with several viewers and a couple of different computers. I´ll see how i fix this... thanks.

I´m sorry if this is not the place to post this, but there have been several days since aditi started to have a lot of issues, everyone I ask in aditi have them too, but I see no post related to that. The problems are: _Can´t wear any mesh _Can´t rez any mesh _When I log the last place is not recall, neither the worn objects, etc If someone could put a link of a place in this forum when anyone refer to this I would appreciate it.
  10. I´m having this issue for the last 3 days. Everyone I ask in aditi (not many people there for sure) have the problem, but I don´t see any comment in this forum, that´s strange. Hope it gets fixed soon.
  11. I have a couple of avatars with bumpiness setted in "brightness"... when I rez the avatar on the ground the bumpiness is there... but when I wear it is gone. This started to happen a couple of days ago. I have the same problem with Viewer 2, firestorm and the new Phoenix. Also in different sims and grids. Has anybody experienced the same thing? thanks in advance.

  13. Thanks a lot Innula for the scripted box you sent me inworld... that was enormously helpful since now I can attach the object and still have the movement according to its own axes. I gave the box example since it was more or less the thing I wanted to accomplish... but the truth is I may need more than a rotation, let me show you in pics. So far the rotation works well... I click an rotates and then click again and back to its original position. The problem is that I need the second position to be this one... As you can see not only rotates but the pivot is in another position. Thanks one more time to Innula and everyone so helpful around here.
  14. Thanks a lot for your replies. I´m trying those things right now. I can´t find any SetRot in the script I used but perhaps I wasn´t supposed to find those exact words... I´m really a script ignorant hahahha. The reason I wanted to use the script is because you can record both positions (opened and clsed). I´ve searched marketplace but can´t find a script that does that Thanks a lot for your help.
  15. Hi... I´m using a free script to open and close a cover in a box (it´s for another thing actually but the idea it´s the same. I make it work properly when rezzed on ground, but when attached the axes seems to change completey. Here are some pics: The box is "closed"... then I touch it and the box opens...   18. Hi... I searched the forum but can´t find a topic about this issue, strange because everyone I ask in Aditi they all have the same problem. Since last staurday Meshes are not rezzed nor uploaded in Aditi... I tried in The 5 grids (Balance, Lusk, Rizal, MOrris and Murray). Any thoughts? ideas? Thanks.
  19. I don´t want to go offtopic... can anybody point me a site that talks about how to make a tiny avi? or bigger? I can´t seem to alter the rig size. Thanks
