  1. I wonder if anyone could tell me what is the best way to increase visitors to your land in second life? :matte-motes-smitten:
  2. The Business Park sim has maybe 1,000 uniques a day due to hosting the Gold Hunt, SecondAds, Jobsfox and the very popular VOX club. There are commercial plots for rent there. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Business%20Park/110/137/21/ Worth a look
  3. Oh I sort of get this retail therapy thing. It must be a girl thing, but sometimes I get this complete utter determination to spend 2k....anything to make me feel good Usually I end up with something really really horrible that I toss in the 'inventory' never to see the light of day again ;(
  4. Lol I notice there are 2 groups actually - people who get nice clothes and AV and then never change it and people who are constantly changing for the hell of it!
  5. For me was about 10k but probably another 10k in "oh, I don't think that quite suits me..." and "oh, this outfit doesn't work" How much for you? :matte-motes-kiss:
  6. I just tagged your post with "advertise promote" ;D

  8. Just because you present yourself as a 'company' doesn't mean you have to be cold. I think it is a thin line that you walk along to do this but you can actually be professional and friendly at the same time. I think being chatty and not going straight to the sale helps a lot....:matte-motes-asleep-2:
  9. here is my privet e-mail'(##################) NICE TO MEET YOU my name is Dorah. i will like to know you more i can send you my picture and my detail's I am waiting for your mail to my email address above. please don't chat me here just send me mail and i will get back to you with love. I just got this......
  10. I think some of your replies are really unfair. I don't understand why we aren't allowed to use the forum like everyone else? People seem to be more focussed on our signitures than on our interesting discussions wili :matte-motes-frown: Take a step back for a second and read what we write on the forums and you'll see we're actually trying to have a valuable debate with people. Instead you decided to focus on signitures.........TROLL
  11. Awwww so sorry you had a bad experience with advertising in Second Life.
  12. Yes, that is what I think too. Once I rented an adboard for 4 weeks at 500L$ per week. It was in a high traffic sim with lots of people. I got like 4 clicks and none of them turned into customers. If I'd used an pay per click network I would have got more value probably...
  13. Well in a pay-per-click network you basically charge the advertiser per click. It is a bit like google adsense if you have ever used that. Trouble with pay per click advertising is that the standard adboard rental per week is very strongly in peoples minds - even if the value is very low...
  14. Some interesting points. Yes, I run some interesting business models myself
  15. Yes I think that Second Life is the best mmo. Second Life is definitely better than IMVU imho.... Really though I do think that Second Life should advertise more in order to beat IMVU - just my personal view... But yes, I agree that Second Life is better because of the scripting features that lets you create more content.
  16. When I saw it wili it seemed quite tame really. Maybe though its like SL with some dirty stuff hidden under the carpet!!
  17. It think though that if it is your WORLD - and to many it is - then you have a right to complain.... I mean, there are roadworks outside our driveway currently - COMPLAIN...:matte-motes-evil-invert:
  18. We run a pay per click advertising network. Advertisers don't pay for impressions.....
  19. I think it is just another business model maybe? I mean - you can either run a low-overhead model and try to get profit by minimising costs. Or, you can run a high overhead model and hope that effective advertisement will make back your costs. Thing that SL users don't see I think is how EXPENSIVE advertising is. Must cost them a lot.
  20. There are plenty of DJ jobs listed in JobsFox I believe http://slurl.com/secondlife/Business%20Park/167/102/21/
  21. This does happen from time to time in Phoenix. Try to restart it and it will usually help.
  22. Yes that is what I thought. I do see this sort of chat room thing going on in some busy clubs too in SL. It's sort of like some areas are for exploring and others (because of lag) are chat rooms. I think though that as internet gets better maybe our 'chat rooms' will become better than IMVUs because of reduced lag maybe hmmmm
  23. I guess so, but why then does it have so many users? There's lots of chat rooms with that sort of thing on the internet...
