I'm using SL viewer 3.0.0. I've recently noticed , in world, that if you view the profile of someone not already a friend, there is a "follow" button next to the friend request button. What exactly does that do? I have figured out that if you click "follow", the person is notified that you are following them. SIgned, Curious in Houston

I'm using the "Second Life 3.0.0 (238864)" viewer. When the cursor hovers over a person or an object a small tag pops up on the screen. The tag displays the name of the object or person and the "info" icon (small circle with an "i" in it. I would dearly love to turn this off. I assume this would be done in "debug settings", but I have no idea what it is called. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Scenes like this, and many that were a lot worse, were common before LL cracked down on unsightly land ads.

There was also an uproar and some protest when the previous forum was being closed.

Someone mentioned the "head up the arse" era a few post back. Not the best quality pic but you get the idea. As I remember this was a bit of a rare event. A shoe up the rear was more common.

If you attempt to view someone's profile and it says their name and "This name is unavailable" does that mean they have cancelled their account?

I did your survey as well. There were a few questions where the choice for an answer was Yes or No. Most of my answers to those question would have been "maybe", "sometimes", if that had been an option.
