The prim allowance of a parcel as nothing to do with the house.  It is inextricably tied to the sqm of the parcel and won't change like that. I think it was just a glitch in the viewer. And yes, houses do not count on against your parcel LI either way.

Being wrong never felt so good! ☺️

  2. You cannot use all your 1024 prims if you rez a 512 home on a 1024 lot. Rez a 512 and then look in parcel details. You will be limited to the 512's prim allocation even though you purchased the 1024 version of home and selected the 512 home. Select a 1024 home on your 1024 lot, and all that goes away! At least that's what happened with me.

  3. I would love the smaller 512 homes on the 1024 lots even more if they permitted use of the full 1024 Li allowance. We all know that won't happen since a 512 on a 1024 lot frees up a lot of prims that I'm sure have been calculated/approximated for use elsewhere.   But who woudn't love the cute little home loaded with the 1024's full space and full prim allowance?     *happy dance time!*

  4. My brand new 512 is almost done, with about 35 Li left to play with. Not a forever home since it is unclear what land mass will connect to my little lake, but it has been fun to decorate, and it makes a cute little hangout. To my surprise, I ended up liking the theme!

I'm still crossing my fingers for modern homes with high cathedral ceilings and even more windows. A girl can dream. 🤩

Eirynne, you mean in Newbrooke?  Newbrooke has both 512 lots and 1024 lots mixed on the same regions, and on the 1024 lots you can use either a 1024-size home or the 512-size ones.  SO, the mailbox for a 1024 parcel has 8 homes in it, and the mailbox for a 512 has only the 4 smaller homes that will fit on that lot.

Yes, thank you Nika. I posted in the wrong thread by mistake. Oh well, at least the post has something to do with a 512.

I love that you can rez a 512 on a 1024 lot, but not all lots are 1024. Some are 512 size. Later I found out that you get the smaller lot if you choose the 512 Newbrook. Those 512 lots only let you choose from among the 512 homes in the mailbox. It makes sense that if you choose the smaller lot, you get the smaller lot. The restriction prevents you from being kicked into overdraft if you don't have the available tier.

On the other hand, if you choose a 1024 at the outset, you can rez homes from the 512 or the 1024 collection. Smart.

I want to live in nine lives! That's the cell phone jingle for my husband. Plus we have lots of kitties! Lol!  All true.

  7. Maybe, maybe, maybe.... they are taking so long to launch because they fixed some of the problems in the homes and landscaping that many of us were not fond of? I can hope.

Except iv seen many portions of land that appear to not have reverted properly or automatically at least. (Iv seen some land that is very Spiky looking and not in uniform that is Abandon Land) thought didn't know it was intended to reset!

Somewhere on these pages. a resident seeking abandoned land was disappointed that the prior owner had left the parcel ground ugly and craggy. One of our beloved moles informed us that the land had been reverted to its original map. Ouch!

  9. Thanks Rowan. They have an inworld shop where you can try the AOs http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Noguchi/182/14/59. There is some nice fluidity on these, especially the sit poses. But still a little too fidget-eee and model-eee on the stands. Or maybe too unnatural. I don't remember the last time I walked around holding my arms crossed or my palms at a 90-degree angle.

There have been many people asking for Bento AOs with subtle, realistic movement for a long time. I don't understand why they are so hard to find. Or if they exist at all. 🙁

The last time I tried putting an AO together from various sets, the stands did not meld into each other. One time my avi jumped about a meter from one position into the next, lol!

I'd been joking with my brother yesterday saying the letter "u" would be missing from colour if that was even a word, but hadn't thought about traveller/traveler.

I certainly wouldn't have got the moth sign.

Extra well done to Atomic for being on the Mole/Linden wavelength just that little bit more than us.

The "u" is missing from how we spell color in the US.

    Color
Color or colour is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called blue, green, red, etc. Color derives from the spectrum of light interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors.Wikipedia

The double "l" is missing from how we spell traveler in the US too.

    traveler

    trăv′əl-ər, trăv′lər

    noun

    1. One who travels or has traveled, as to distant places.
    2. A traveling salesperson.
    3. A member of any of various groups of traditionally itinerate people living especially in Scotland and Ireland.

    On the other hand:

    Traveller

Traveller is a 1997 American crime drama film directed by Jack N. Green and starring Bill Paxton, Mark Wahlberg and Julianna Margulies. The plot centers on a man joining a group of nomadic con artists in rural North Carolina.Wikipedia
