I've never been all that impressed with the accuracy of this feature, but I've also never asked to get it fixed because there have always been bigger problems.

Go ahead and submit a JIRA if you like, but it will probably just give them one more thing to fix instead of fixing something more important.

I'm starting to think that it was deliberate. To keep the big money making overpriced stuff (that was slipping fast in the rankings before) to remain on top to help them sell at the expense of the newer and not so well established Merchants from 'butting in' and selling their (reasonably priced stuff)directed for the not so wealthy clientel in SL. At least until LInden Labs can figure out how they can reward their high priced and much favored Merchant force in some other way. Of course they could always just simply weight the higher priced stuff to the top of the search results if they wanted even more as a more weighty part of the existing equation. ;-)

Here is the info I got when I reported this same inaccuracy a few weeks ago (on this subject and some of the other filters).

"Thank you for contacting Customer Support regarding an issue on the Second Life Marketplace.

Search and sorting issues are known problems on the Second Life Marketplace web site.

For additional information, please see the Second Life Jira Tickets, located here:

https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3883

https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4506

https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3140

You may add your comments to those existing Jira Tickets.

You may also Watch the Jira Tickets to be notified of updates to the issue."

Hope these JIRAs help you out!

Yes, I've noticed this as well... and your timeline seems accurate.  It's been a bug for longer than a week now.  I am *certain* I am moving a new item I have released (thanks to group notices), and yet it remains mired at the very bottom of my store's rankings.

Thank you to Lera King for sharing the Jira information on this.  Nevertheless, this is seriously disappointing, and I hope Marketplace fixes this... and SOON.
