Avatars transparent or black, not using dual monitors.

Hi, I just switched to Firestorm. Working great, except now I have an itermittent display issue, 3 really.

1. If I zoom to far from myself it is like I drop into shadow.

2. Sometimes I as well as all other avis disappear entirely except for prims.

3. Sometimes every avi in the room turns into a black silhouette, which may or may not include myself.

 

I don't use dual monitors, have textures and VBO disabled because I am running an older Nvidia card....and I have no clue how to get Firestorm to behave. Suggestions? I will try running it with textures in the meantime. Thanks to all who venture a response.

 

I do have shadows and textures disabled, and this issue does not occur in SLV3. It seems limited to Firestorm, less so in Phoenix and it also happens in Dolphin, which I tested to see if I could get around the problem.

You've done a couple of the obvious things.  You should probably turn off shadows too, and consider disabling HTTP textures.
