0 Ariel Vuissent
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory Have a look towards the bottom of that page. Some of those viewers are lightweight, often text-based, for lower-end computers that can't run full versions of SL. One of those (or more) may work on your netbook. Note: You won't be able to see the world on a text-based viewer, since it is, of course, text-based; but you should still be able to get inworld, chat with friends, etc.
0 Rolig Loon
Good luck. You'll find a few third party viewers that offer a minimal SL experience at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory. The bottom line, though, is that SL is not a netbook world. 0 LoveAngeL Lyre
Hello G8r and welcome to SL Forums. You can try also to download the old Viewer 1.23. You can find it here.
0 Audra Siemens
I've had some success with using the Rainbow Viewer which is slightly optimized for netbooks and their lower graphic capacity etc. Its not on the official list, so use at your own risk and all that junk. You can find the program and installation instructions here : http://my.opera.com/boylane/blog/
