I remember an Application Service that allowed people to back up their own created inventory such as my textures to a third party site but I cannot remember what it was.  My external HD, whch is where I had a lot of my old image files that I created is now died and the only place I have these textures is in world.

Does anyone know a method to get this back on to HD without having to save each one? I have thousands I've made over the years and it's bad enough I don't have many of the PSD files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know but it says you can have normal image files that others can use as well.

I just got it and will try it tonight to let you know.  It appears that is will grab anything that is YOUR creation to prevent piracy but one feature I loved, but have yet to test is that it will fix objects that I created and don't have perms to.

I made a lot of stuff for SexGen but don't have the originals.  When I take out the base and leave behind only my part of the build, I get them as no copy.  This will allow me to have some of my old stuff back that I don't have perms to anymore.

I'm hoping this will help me to import some of this stuff to my other stores in other virtual worlds.

What exactly happened to the drive?  Are you sure the HDD itself died, or is it possibly just the housing that's having a problem?  I'd suggest you open up the housing, pull the drive out, and plug it directly into your desktop computer before you decide it's toast.

Also, I'd suggest you talk to a data recovery specialist.  I had my life saved by one a few years ago, when my main data drive took a dump, and I didn't have a backup.  $200 and three days later, all my data was restored, just like nothing had ever happened.  Those recovery guys are worth their weight in gold.

They guy who did the work told me he's usually able to recover data even from drives that have been in house fires.  The computer may have melted, but the platter inside the drive still has the ones and zeroes on it.

Unless the drive has been physically shredded, or you've overwritten the whole thing with zeroes, I'd be willing to bet your PSD's (and everything else) can be recovered.
