Direction Faced When Landing After a Teleport

What determines the direction you are facing when you land after a teleport? Is it cardinal direction? I know sometimes I TP to stores and I have to turn around to face the store, which is no problem, but sometimes I land facing the store. Is it relevant to the direction I was facing pre-teleport?

usually yes... occasionally if you face a different direction just before the TP it won't update to the region and you land facing the direction you were just before.

I find most times we land facing East, maybe that's a default thingy, test it out and see if you find this too.

Yes, when things are working normally, east is the default for a teleport out to an unconnected region, but same orientation as before for a teleport inside the same area.
