Jarahmeel
Hey guys, I was wondering if there is any way to download a mesh model onto my computer once I've uploaded them on SL.Basically, I've uploaded a mesh model through my university computer, and now I'm at home wanting to work on it but I forgot my hard drive at uni. Is there any way I can download the model off SL?Thanks! :)
Rage Riptide
No. Really, that would not be good.
Ceera Murakami
No way to do that. Take a USB flash drive to the University with you, and copy the mesh source files from that University computer to your flash drive, and from there you can copy it to your home system. Nacy Nightfire
A very roundabout method would be to ask a friend at the university to copy the .dae info to a text file and send you that in an email which you can turn back into a .dae file and import back into your 3d editing program. FireFox Bancroft
A good practice would be to backup your .dae files to some form of small portable media like a USB flash drive or your cell\smartphone (they can be used as a removeable HD)
Nacy Nightfire
Actually that was a bit of a brain hiccup on my part. For that matter a friend could just send the file as an attachment. But to pass a .dae file to a SL friend in SL, copying the data via text to a notecard (or two cards...I think it needs to be split up) can be useful.
