I apply makeup, but it over rides my hair base that I want....how do I have both?

Choose "Add" from the right click menu, rather than "Wear".

The easy answer is to stop applying the make-up to your head; it will look much prettier on your eyes and lips.    

Aside from that I have no clue, but I am sure one of the females will be along quck enought to shed some light on your issue.

It sounds like your hair base is a tattoo layer and so is the makeup.  Unless you are using a viewer that allows more than one tattoo layer, one will override the other.  Use a viewer that allows multiple layers.

The "add" option is the one that you need to use, but you have to have a V2 style viewer for this to work.  In the future, providing your viewer will lead to more accurate answers.

If you're using a V1 style viewer such as Pheonix, you can't wear both.
