Mac OsX Lion - v.3 crashes on startup after downloading clothing EVERY TIME - radeon Radeon HD 6750M

Getting frustrating - brand new MacBook pro i7 - V2 USED to work, firestorm works fine - google is not being very helpful, or way too technical. Any ideas?

We've been seeing reports of some problems in SL with the Lion OS since it was released about a month ago (See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Viewer/Apple-OS-X-Lion-Compatibility/m-p/990229/ and http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Viewer/Viewer-2-OSX-Lion-NO-SL/m-p/964817/ , for example).  As far as I'm aware, SL  has not yet added Lion to its list of compatible operating systems.  And, of course, the V3 viewer is newly released and may have its own problems with Lion.

You might try going to Preferences >> Graphics >> Hardware Settings and UNchecking Enable OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects.  Some reports suggest that VBO may be an issue.

I actually seemed to have resolved the issue after scouring the minefield that is the JIRA bugger tracker.  Seems to be related to a DNS issue.   By adding two backup google DNS entries [8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4] I was able to launch and run 3.0 without any apparent issues, although I will continue to monitor the result.
