Avatars and profiles

Since I am new, maybe I am doing this all wrong.  Someone ask me to go dancing so we did.  Now I tried to look up that profile so I put his name in search and get a box that comes up, but I don't really see any info.   Is it just empty or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure what you are seeing...are you just looking at the search results? If so, you need to click on the link under his name where it says "Profile".

If you're using Viewer 2, accessing someone's profile now brings up an almost useless "feed" page, and you have to select the "about" tab to see their actual profile. LL thinks their Twitter-style feed is far more important than the profile information for the person whose profile you are looking up.

I am not using V2 but for me, if search using the People tab vs "All"I get the old style profile information

I am using the latest viewer on the Mac at home on mt DSL. I get this issue as well. Instead of buttons and the feed, I get what looks like HTAML 1.0 links, but no buttons, and the profile/feed is essentially useless. At school/work, where the connections are faster and I have much more RAM, it works as advertised. Issue must be the way the UI uses memory allocation or something. There may be a way yo tweak it in preferences or the developer/advanced settings, but so far I cannot figure it out. Kinda sux, becuase I do sort of get how the feed thing could work for me.
