Do you have to feed pets?

I'm wondering if it is required to feed pets. I'm currently looking at a mount that also acts as a pet- says it can eat and stuff. I just want to know if it will be burning a hole in my pocket x_x

Actually that depends from product to product. If they aren't advertised as breedables, they probably don't need to get fed. But in case there's no info at all, you should contact the merchant to be sure.

Depends on the pet.  These are all created by residents of SL, not by Linden Lab.  So every pet is going to be a little different.  Best thing is to talk with the creator of the pet, the person selling the pet and if possible someone else who owns one.  That should give you a pretty good idea of what it takes to maintain that particular virtual animal in SL.
