cant log in.using firestorm

i use sl on firestorm...when i am clkiking on it..aftter initialising VFS...nothing comes on screen ..then automoatically it closes! also can u please tell me if i can use nay other viewer other than second life and firestorm?

Try to completely clear your cache (not only the clearing cache button in your preferences) and see if it fixes it:

You can use all viewers, which you can find in third-party-viewers list:

You can install lots of viewers same time at your computer and try everything till you find one you really like.

But think of it that viewers based on viewer 1.xx do have anothe UI and look different and that the old viewers maybe don't show you everything in SL, cause they are based at older technology (Phoenix for excample is still very popular).

Firestorm for excample works very good but it's still in Beta-phase (will be done in a few months i hope) and it's based on the new technology like viewer 2.

Thanls tommi ..so ure suggesing that is hpuld nt download phoenix?? i had the same problem with secondlife viewer 2 ...i am new on sl though..after a month..i changed to firestorm...now agin i ahv problem..it wont open!! I am using windows xp....i thought phoenix was the only option left....i love the game very much!

Or, you may try using Phoenix although it is V1 based. If nothing works, file a ticket for support.

It is buggy, switch to a different viewer till its issues are more resolved. If this is not a solution for you then make out a bug report with the Firestorm people.

Create a support JIRA on http://jira.phoenixviewer.com/secure/CreateIssue.jspa? including your system info & the support team will help find out why you are having problems with Firestorm.

If nothing works atm, try to install Phoenix. It's a very stable viewer and it should work for you.

If you dont like to use another viewer then you can unistall the original viewer or firestorm, delete the folder in which it was installed and download and install it again. It should work again then.
