blocked residents

I would like to know if resident that has been blocked  remains as such for how long or if there is any other penalties

by SL on this matter?.

Blocked?  Perhaps you mean banned or suspended?  Blocked is now the term used for muting someone.  Can you be a little more specific??  Just edit your original post (since that's the only way you can add information) and clarify your question a bit.

If a resident is blocked from Second Life, it could be just a suspension of an hour, a day, a week, a fortnight, or forever, depending really on the reason for SL blocking the resident from logging in.

Are YOU having problems accessing Second Life currently? 

If you are just getting a message up on your own screen when trying to log in to Second Life, you might not have been blocked at all.

As Cinnamon has asked, perhaps if you can give us more details, we can offer more suggestions/advice.

If you mean Blocked by you (muted) it lasts as long as you leave them on your Block list. If you IM them that would cancel the block.

If you mean their account has been blocked by SL, they would get an email saying the time and the reason.

If you mean you computer has been blocked and you cannot Login, contact support if you didn`t get an email, as that often happens by accident.
