I recently purchased a new desktop directly from HP. It's expandable and I am slowly up-grading what I can. I'm looking for a decent graphics card to replace the one I installed from the older desktop, a GTX-750, one slot. While Nvidia still supports the card (it was gifted to me, though a used one; still gives me good FPS), I would like something new with a bit more oomph.

My newer machine has Intel® Core™ i7-12700 (up to 4.9 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 25 MB L3 cache, 12 cores, 20 threads, 32 GB RAM (2x16GB) which I upgraded from a 16 GB RAM (2x8GB) and 310 W 80 Plus Gold certified power supply.

Any suggestions and if so, who might have the better deal?

if you could post the model number of the HP,  we could help find a psu that will fit the case and will work for you,  the 310w is not going to work out well under load and will cause the system to either have a bad mishap underload or will shut the system down constantly (if you upgrade to a more powerful power demanding card).
