find bloggers
join events
use flickr or other social media

don't spam on the forums (isn't allowed)
join some popular forumtopics or sections and be sure to have your signature enabled where you can put a small (!) banner and link

You promote it just like you would a real life business. Also by joining events and having sales. Word of mouth is also very valuable.
