Hi folks

When there are separate parcels on same Sim and those parcels are deeded to same group, are the prims combined and available for use by the group members, similar to how prims are combined and available for use when separate parcels are owned by individual on the same sim?

Yes, the total prims LI is available to the group to be used on either parcel.  It does not matter whether the parcels are group owned or owned by an individual.  What matters is that the listed owner, in the About Land info, is the same - and that the parcels are in the same region.

You can use any or all prims on any or all parcels.

So if you want to put out 100 pieces of ~ 600  piece jewelry on a display case on one little parcel, they will "fit" but then you can't put anything else out elsewhere.

Or make 600 little parcels and put about 10 prims on each, you can do that, too.

Because in a group it may seem as if you can put them out endlessly because you can, you have to make sure one person in a group rentals doesn't do that, and make it impossible for the other people to put out stuff.

I never obsess about saying "prims" versus "land impact" because the reality is, they are usually no different. Occasionally, they may be, by a prim or 3, depending on whether they are scripted or on physics or whatever. 10 prims blocks linked together normally are 10 prims. You can change their physics shape to "convex" and reduce their land impact to maybe 8 or less. So you do that when you can. Except not on items that are hollow with portals, a house, a shed, a fairy tree tunnel. Because then you can't walk into them, the way it works.  You can then put them on "phantom" to walk in and out. But if a house up on a platform or the sky, you will fall out.

As will cats.
