Tenants can't get a good prim count

Question

My group owns several parcels in a sim on the Mainland.  I am the group owner.  I can get accurate prim counts for everybody using About Land/Objects tab/Refresh, and looking the the list.  My tenants, who are also group members, see erroneous numbers with this method.

Why does this happen, and how can I let my tenants get an accurate count of their prim usage?

Edit to add:  So it's the Return ability that grants this?  Yeck.  I'll have to find a good prim counter instead.  (My Hippo Rent boxes don't seem to give a good count).  Also, how does one post a reply on these new improved boards?  I see no reply button anywhere!

Hi, if you do not want to hand out return permission in the group roles, you can put out a deeded scripted object that can tell the prim counts on the land. Deeded is important -- it will look like it works OK when you are there, but stop working right when you are away from the region if it is not.

The functions that can give the right information are llGetParcelPrimOwners, and llGetParcelPrimCount.

The forum is having some changes so the only way you can reply atm is to use Edit like you already did.

The list of names and prims on the About Land Objects tab, will only show each person those prims that they are allowed to return.

You can see everything because you are god, but if for example your tenants are not allowed to return objects set to group or owned by group, then when they look at the list those prims will not be included.
