I will keep this simple and not name names for the sake of drama.

I help run a store. Recently we had reports that another store selling similar/same items has been adding tags of our store name to their products so that when people search for items under our store name their items come up too (their store name is nowhere near the same name and nor were the names of the items). They were confronted by someone about it and immediately messaged us directly saying that we were spreading around false rumours (we had no idea at this time) but we have proof from viewing the html text files of the item webpage that shows our store name under their tags but before we could actually report the individual items magically the tags disappeared.

There we go, they got called out for their actions by people other than us (customers actually) and took those tags off. End of right? Or so we thought.

Now they have changed their store name or created a new store using their store name and adding our store name to it in order to put the tag on. Yes I know we can't tell people "hey you can'tcall yourselves that" and that there are actually a few stores that use our name (we were the originals and made sure nobody had our name because we didn't want to do exactly this, we don't mind that these stores though call themselves the same name because the stuff they sell is so far detached from what we actually sell). But this is just such a skeezy move in order to sell their extremely similar/same products using a tag of our products by store name directly to bypass the individual item reporting under tag abuse.

Is there a way we can lodge a complaint to have their store name reverted? We normally wouldn't care enough to go this far and talk to them directly but this is just another action in a long line of incidents where they have tried to screw with us including threats of bs DMCA's which would directly have shut down our business due to real world legal costs. Tired of their pettiness, it would be like Apple calling themselves Apple IBM Microsoft Linux.

to have Linden Lab act (do a take down) then we have to do like in RL.  We need to register our store name as a RL trademark

Well if that is the case then LL legal department here we come. Tired of this bs from these individuals. We again would not normally do this but the banner, tags and store name all make it seem we are associated with them and these are products we endorse/make but release under their store. We can deal with the tit for tat us releasing one product then they release an exact copy because of quality and the customers know and have commented but this is one step too far in an ever increasing history.
