Yes even I forget things and have to ask, heh.

Does anyone have a link to the definitions for group content types with the World API returns?

I've have gotten returns such as "PG_NOT" & "M_NOT" for General content groups and "M_NOT", "M_BET" & "M_AO" for Mature content groups.

Even though I don't think I can depend on this data, I'd still like to know the exact meanings and differences between them.

A page that explains the differences instead of speculation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure, if you look for specific list of tags like ratings PG, M, A etc, it would depend on nature of the service conducted. So the organization of say media, gaming etc. would be the place, where I would look for a list of tags provided and their meaning/rating.

This took a fair amount of digging to find. :D

What we've got are a combination of prefixes and suffixes. The prefixes are what has been listed by the user.

List of prefixes:

PG

M Mature

AO Adult Only

The suffixes are what is being returned by the search application and are contextual to the prefixes.

List of suffixes:

NOT Doesn't contain anything naughty.

AO Contains naughty keywords that are allowed if the resident is identified.

BET Contains betting keywords.

When we do searches, those two things are put together as metatags.

For example:

PG_NOT Does not appear to contain anything naughty for PG.

PG_AO Classified as PG, but maybe contains some naughty for PG stuff.

PG_BET Classified as PG, but maybe has some betting/gambling content. These are being treated the same as PG_NOT, but the distinction may become more relevant in the future depending on laws (or less, for the same reason, as the direction seems to be going!).

I hope that clears some things up for you!
